Product Description

Kit contents:

1 – Oh Deer! Paper Packet (X7214B)
1 – Oh Deer! Complements (X7214C)
4 – cardstock sheets (1 Ruby, 1 Whisper, 2 White Daisy)
1 – Oh Deer! Assortment (Z4011)
1 – White & Gold Twine(Z4014)

The gorgeous Oh Deer! paper complements so nicely with the Woodland Wishes Thin Cuts Bundle. I think the reindeer in this set is the absolute cutest for Christmas!
I started by cutting out the thin cut reindeers, doubled over and I got 4 cuts from 2 turns through my Big Shot machine. I cut out using 12" × 12" White Daisy Cardstock and got out my 5 1/2" × 4 1/4" White Cards & Envelopes, Value Pack.
I stamped the reindeer with Desert Sand Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad and cut a 2.25 inch x 5.5 inch strip of Oh Deer! paper and the Zip strip from it (brown spots). I adhered them to the white card with Duck® Easy Stick™ Adhesive.
I used White Twine to thread the cute little jingle bells that I got from a $2 shop and wrapped it around the reindeers necks a few times and tied it in a bow cutting off the excess. I added 3-D Foam Tape to add dimension and stuck on my reindeer's.

The next card I reversed the rotation so I cut my Oh Deer! paper shorter. I used one of the dark blue coloured jingle bells I had with the White Twine again (I wished I had the White & Gold Twine from the Oh Deer! set because its beautiful). I used Silver Shimmer Trim to edge it.
I wanted to match the jingle bell as closely as I could with inks and the Peacock Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad was a bit too dark so I did a second generation stamping to lighten it up a bit.

I also added the 3D foam tape to add dimension.

I want to use this blog as an opportunity to wish all my customers, friends and anyone hopping through this blog a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS.

My mum asked me this week to make her a Hanukkah card for her Jewish friend, Close to My Heart do sell Hanukkah stamp sets but I've never had an occasion to purchase them. So I used stamps and papers I already had to make her a card too. So HAPPY HANUKKAH if that is your tradition.

New Year's Cheer November SOTM Australasian Blog Hop

Welcome to our Australasian Blog Hop. Today I would like to share with you my project which features the New Year's Cheer—November Stamp of the Month available exclusively throughout November 2016 for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75.

I made the following invitation using the New Year's Cheer—November Stamp of the MonthI didn't take any progress photos this time. I made a stand up invitation card that can fit in our CTMH standard 4.25 x 5.5 sized envelopes when flat. I thought guests could have it standing up on their mantle or hall table or something to remind them of when the party is going to be held.

I started with a 9.5 x 4 inch piece of White Daisy Cardstock
. Then I folded it in half and then scored it at 2 inches from the centre on one side and folded that too.

I covered the front of the card/invite with Gold Foil Vellum paper from the Rustic Home Fundamentals paper pack {It was a bit hard to photograph the shiny paper}. The piece was a little long so I cut it 3/4 inches wide stripe and placed it along the bottom section.

I stamped the stipped banner stamp with Black Memento™ Ink Pad and fussy cut it out with my Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors. Then I added a scrap piece of Black CardstockI did the same with the Invitation section with free-hand fussy cutting.

To add the banner I used 3-D Foam Tape so the fold up section could stand up. I stamped the wine/champagne glasses with Black Memento™ Ink Pad and fussy cut them out with my Non-stick Micro-tip ScissorsThen I stuck them on using my Duck® Easy Stick™ Adhesive.

Swan Lake CTMH Australian Blog Hop

We are all creating with the Workshops Your Way™ Swan Lake Scrapbooking Kit.This kit is featured by Close to My Heart in October and is until the end of the current Holiday Expressions Ideas Book. Its a beautiful set that features black swans which is perfect for Western Australian photos because the black swan is the emblem of WA.

Kit contents:

1 – Swan Lake Paper Packet (X7212B)
1 – Swan Lake Complements (X7212C)
4 – cardstock sheets (1 Peacock, 2 Whisper, 1 White Daisy) Swan Lake Coordinating Cardstock
1 – Grey Enamel Gems (Z3089)
1 – Black Shimmer Ribbon (Z4012)

I used the Swan Lake kit at our Consultant Scrapbook Camp and made ALL the pages and cards. Then I made lots and lots of things with the offcuts AND I still have LOTS of paper left over!!

As I usually do with the Workshops Your Way card templates I turn the paper over to create a different look just with turning it over. I also used black swans on the alternate cards. Thankful for You Thin Cuts Bundle is the stamp set and thin cuts that are used with this workshop your way cards.
These are the cards that I made below, using the thin cuts and the inks suggested in the kit.

After I had made the Swan Lake Cards and pages. I used the scraps to make lots more cards.

The above window card is one of my favourites, (I made one for my upline for her birthday and one for myself as a sample). I used the 5 1/2" × 4 1/4" White Cards & Envelopes, Value Pack
white card as a base and cut a hole in the base. I stamped the cute little girl from the True Love
stamp set (that is the Operation Smile Fundraising stamp set) and coloured her in using shinhan markers. I cut a White Daisy Cardstock frame for the windows and then attached it using 3-D Foam Tape to make the window stick up.

After I did the window card, I cut out lots of swans and all the bits from the set, using the thin cuts and made cards with them. This is a great set for Thank you cards and I made lots of them and gave them out. These below cards are all made at 4x4 inches of white daisy cardstock (4x8 folded in half).

Yuletide Joy CTMH Australasian Blog Hop

Welcome to our Australasian Blog Hop. We have all been creating with "Yuletide Joy—October Stamp of the MonthStamp set. If you have arrived here from Maz Wood- aMAZing Close to My Heart Creations then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas and eventually you'll come right back here to where you started.

This is such a pretty stamp set for Christmas.

Today I would like to share with you my project which features the Yuletide Joy—October Stamp of the Month available exclusively throughout October 2016 for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75.

My idea for my cards in this project was to make them quick, easy and replicate them easily. I started my Christmas cards with the new Thin Cuts—Christmas and cut out on my BigShot in Black Cardstock

The negative cut out is just as valuable with this thin cut word (some of the other words don't easily work to do this). See below.

I used the Shimmer Brush—Clear to paint the Thin Cuts—Christmas cutout and I laid it over the top of the three stars but decided eventually that I liked it without the Thin Cut on top of it but I've shown both to see which one you prefer.

After I made the star card and had the Thin Cuts—Christmas cutout with all the shimmer from the  Shimmer Brush on it, I decided to make another card to use it.

To make this card I stamped the present in Cranberry Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad
and stuck on the Thin Cuts—Christmas cutout with all the shimmer. I stamped the sentiment with Black Memento™ Ink PadThen I added three strips of Thin Washi Tape from the City Sidewalks Washi PackTo complete the look of the card I added two red Red Enamel Gems as the top of the i and the full stop. Quick Christmas card complete.

To make the third card I stamped the middle stocking in Cranberry Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad and then I did second generation stamping to stamp the lighter stockings (to imitate a mantle piece). I stamped the sentiment with Black Memento™ Ink PadThen I added two strips of Thin Washi Tape from the City Sidewalks Washi PackAnother quick, easy and replicateable card. This would look great with red and green stockings and would be a good one for kids to do for the whole class at school because its only using ink and a little bit of washi tape and the 5 1/2" × 4 1/4" White Cards & Envelopes, Value Pack making this project inexpensive for kids to make for school friends or sporting teams etc.

After I had finished all of the stamp of the month cards, I still had the negative space from the Thin Cuts—Christmas cutout. I didn't want it to get ruined by going back into my scrap stash. I decided to also stick it onto one of the 5 1/2" × 4 1/4" White Cards & Envelopes, Value Pack.

TIP: when you are adhering these negative wording down - use a Bonding Memories™ Glue Pen to get into all the small spaces of the wording so they all stick down (see photo - I used Duck® Easy Stick™ Adhesive around the edges and the Bonding Memories around the inside).

Now that its stuck down I can add other embellishments later or shimmer trim or bling or something but it won't get ruined or lost in my stash now. Although if I get rushed for time, I quite like it as it is.
