This week's challenge Colour Dare #352

Choose at least 3 Colors from Canary, Sugarplum, Ballerina, Glacier, Lagoon & Mink.
Black & White + Neutrals Free

You are invited to participate in this challenge too. Go to the link for Colour Dare #352 and add your entry.

This is my inspiration to you. Grab out the colours and see which ones go nicely together. I'd just made another card using sugarplum so I knew I had to feature that. It is the colour of the year but it will be soon replaced with a new colour... got to use it while I can. I'll be sad when sugarplum retires.

To start my cardmaking process, I grabbed a white card and envelope (although the colour looks more ivory than daisy white in my photo). Where is all my natural light when I need it!

I got out my Big Shot and my Thin cut flowers. I cut the big flower in Sugarplum, the inner centre in Ballerina, the leaves in Mink and the stitched square in black. Then I stamped the butterfly from this months Stamp of the Month Bear Hugs—July Stamp of the Month,  in black. I decided it didn't need a sentiment. I added a white pearl into the centre of the flower. A simple basic card to send to a friend or add a sentiment inside or later on.

I love these stitched thin cuts too, especially the flowers. they are retiring soon too, so grab them while you can. The stamp of the month is only available in July.

  1. What a cute card! I love the simplicity and the way you framed your flower. That little butterfly is a perfect accent, too.

    1. They are my favourite the stitched flowers. Butterfly is a simple way to add an embellishment.

  3. Those colors make a beautiful die cut flower and love the stamped butterfly and love how you offset your flower in the frame.
