Our Colour Dare Challenge for #488 is the colours of the Cake Day Scrapbooking Workshop Kit. You need to choose at least 3 of the colours or you can use all 5 colours plus Black, White and Gold are Free to use. When you are creating for more than one challenge please make sure your project meets our requirement. Most importantly - have fun! Go to the link for Colour Dare #488 and add your entry. When you submit your entry you must provide a link to your post, not just to your blog in general. There are LOTS of ways to enter either a Blog Post or post to an online gallery (Facebook, Pinterest, SplitCoast Stampers, or Instagram).
I love this Cake Day paper pack its so bright and colourful and the colour dare colours this week are so fun. I couldn't choose just 3 of them so I picked the paper with all the colours.
Cake Day Scrapbooking Workshop |
The White Daisy Cardstock is 8.5 inches wide by 5.5 inches long and scored/folded at 2.25 from each end. Then I cut the Cake Day paper down to 2 inches wide by 5.25 inches so I could meet the paper in the centre fold so it looks more like a hidden opening.
Then I cut a Cake Day—Scrapbooking Stamp + Thin Cuts B-Day Bash cake thin cut out in White Daisy Cardstock and then stamped in Wild Berry Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad.
I also used the Wild Berry Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad to ink the edges of the outside of the paper, not the inside opening to maintain the hidden opening.
Cake Day Stamp & thin Cut |
I only put Air Touch Adhesive on the left half of the cake thin cut so it can still open and hangs over half on the other side (my words don't feel very smooth with this today - its kinda hard to explain a 3D element). My middle opening card is almost a trick card with a hidden opening, I plan to give this to my Mother-in-Law for her Birthday tomorrow so hopefully its not too mean and she can work out how to open it :)
I finished it off with 3 clear diamantes (bling bling bling!) which are a little hard to see in the photo.
