I am totally in love with these stamp sets. they are ideal for so many different projects. The three different stamps represent the three major types of scrapbooking, and they mix and match perfectly.

For my first project I decided to make a page for my son called "10 things I love about you". I got these from the Artbooking cartridge page 81. I have wanted for ages to make a 10 things I love about you Page for my son. This was the perfect opportunity.

Firstly I cut the 10 things and the bubble numbers 1-10 on the cricut with 12" X 12" Glacier Cardstock

I cut a few so I could make a page for my daughter next also. As shown below I took the cutout left behind and traced around it with a pencil onto 12" X 12" White Daisy CardstockI used this white daisy cutout to back the numbers so they would stand out.

I created the title and used the heart and LOVE from the Hello, Life!—Pocket Scrapbooking
for the letters I used Hopscotch Alphabet which is my new favourite alphabet stamp set!

I placed all the bits onto the page but haven't posted a completed photo because I wanted to keep the page contents private.

Next I had a play with the brand new Watercolor Paints and Paintbrush SetMy first attempt below was a bit dismal but it was fun to play and learn something new. I hadn't got in the special Watercolor Paper when I created this so I just used 12" X 12" White Daisy Cardstock and it seemed to worked just fine for what I needed it for.

Next I did a colour gradient on an angle like a sunset and I was much happier with that one. Especially when I finished it off.

To finish it off I added one of the Hello, Life!—Cardmaking Hello stamps, stamped with Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad and matted it in 12" X 12" Black Cardstock.  The base was 5 1/2" X 4 1/4" White Cards & Envelopes, Value Pack. I LOVE how this card turned out. So simple, elegant and FUN!

My last idea was a welcome card I did for my 10 fold swap at our monthly team meeting. Consultants make 10 of 1 idea and share with others. This could be a welcome to my workshop, welcome to the neighbourhood, welcome to my team, etc etc, So simple that I just used the 5 1/2" X 4 1/4" White Cards & Envelopes, Value Packa strip of Black Shimmer Trima offcut of Nevermore Paper Packet
two stamps in Whisper Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad and Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad.

Nevermore Paper Packet Blog Hop

Welcome to our Special Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop featuring this months feature paper pack called Nevermore. We have all been creating with the brand NEW Nevermore Products that have been released 1st September. If you have arrived here from Patricia Manhire's Creative Corner
then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas and eventually you'll come right back here to where you started.

I started with the Nevermore Paper Packet and decided I didn't want to do a typical "Halloween" page. I LOVE the old world/steam punk style of the grey pages. I created the Double-Page Layout at a recent Scrapbooking Retreat with photos taken at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast we took on a holiday last year. The photos have an "old world" look to them because they were taken at the Wild West Gold Rush Country at Dreamworld. I think they are a perfect fit for the paper.

I decided to use the stamp set that is exclusive this month called Hello, Life—Scrapbooking
we are going to do an exclusive blog post for this in a few days so watch this space and come back then to see more ideas using these stamp sets.

This is what I laid out first. I used the 12" X 12" Eggplant Cardstock
to mat the photos and the one front photo I double-matted it. I backed in the grey paper (with the orange on the back) and sanded the edges (with the Sanding Kit) then I matted in 12" X 12" Black Cardstock. All from the Nevermore Paper Packet.

On the opposite side I did the same. 2 in 12" X 12" Eggplant Cardstock and 1 with the grey and 12" X 12" Black Cardstock double-mat. Then I put the zip strips from the top of the two sheets of old world Nevermore Paper Packet and decided it needed some shimmer trim. The Purple Shimmer Trim and Pink Shimmer Trim weren't  a good match for the 12" X 12" Eggplant Cardstock so I made my own personalised shimmer trim.

I used the Silver Shimmer Trim and coloured in with the ShinHan™ Touch Twin™ Peony Purple Marker
You have to be careful to wait until it dries before touching it or have a tissue handy to hold it with, or your fingers will get messy.

It is hard to get a good photo of the shimmer trim because it just reflects the light so much.

To finish the page off, I used Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad and the Hello, Life—Scrapbooking Stamp set for the happy and arrow and the NEW Eggplant Exclusive Inks™ Pad for the circle stamp on white Daisy paper and then I fussy cut it out with the Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors

I really love this Happy font.

To finish off the Wanted page. I made a pennant with the "Good" stamp. I added the extra stamps next to the Good to read - Good Times, Good Memories, Good Life. Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad
on the 12" X 12" Eggplant Cardstock from the Nevermore Paper Packet.

To create the Journal Box I stamped the tag looking stamp on both sides of my piece of 12" X 12" White Daisy Cardstock with Eggplant Exclusive Inks™ PadThe white card was a little stark against the grey page, so I used Whisper Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad and a Sponge Dauber to create a tea stained aged look.

NB: The whisper dauber got a purple tinge to it when stamping over the eggplant.

I was really really happy with how this page layout turned out and I really love the Nevermore Paper Packet particularly the 12" X 12" Eggplant Cardstock and Eggplant Exclusive Inks™ PadEven if you don't celebrate Halloween, this is a great paper pack to own and love!

Thanks so much for dropping by to check out my latest project. Paper Garden September Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to our Stamp of the Month Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop. We have all been creating with "Paper Garden September Stamp of the MonthStamp set. If you have arrived here from Britt McDonald - Crafty Connections then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas and eventually you'll come right back here to where you started.

Today I would like to share with you my card which features the Paper Garden September Stamp of the Month available exclusively throughout September for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75.

You will find the stamp set in the new Holiday Expressions Catalogue that has been launched TODAY as well as the new 2015-2016 Annual Inspirations Catalogue. So many exciting new products.

I think this stamp set is so lovely for both pages and cards. I wanted to create a card so I looked at the Originals Card Confidence Program™ (soft cover) book on page 116 I found an idea for a simple card called Originals Pretty simple.

There is a great recipe and the below card is a photo of the idea in the book. The recipe is so versatile and looks so different in different colours, textures and stamp sets.

I used a 2 inch strip of the green and flipped it for the grey colour on the back of the Zoe Paper (dimensions are in the book). I pulled out the Slate Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad
to match the Zoe paper and stamped the two stamps from the Paper Garden September Stamp of the Month (wire and flower).

The wire looking stamp is about 1.75 inches x 1.75 inches on 12" X 12" White Daisy Cardstock and the flower stamp is quite large and I used the large  4" X 5" My Acrylix® Block. Once I had fussy cut out the flower with Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors I put on Thin 3-D Foam Tape to add some dimension.

To finish off the card I put Enamel & Glitter Duos Green Triangles in the corner of the grey square.

I took awhile to decide that I needed to add a title. So I used the THANKS title from the Hello, Life!—Cardmaking stamp set that is only available during September. We are going to do a blog post about this later in the month so watch this space.

Remember this great stamp set Paper Garden September Stamp of the Month is only available throughout September from your Close to My Heart Consultant
