Colour Dare #576 - Six Pack

Our Colour Dare Challenge for #576 is a six pack challenge. You need to use 3 of the colours at least, plus... you can also use Black, white, and Metallics but no other neutrals. When you are creating for more than one challenge please make sure your project meets our requirement. Most importantly - have fun!  Go to the link for Colour Dare #576 and add your entry. When you submit your entry you must provide a link to your post, not just to your blog in general. There are LOTS of ways to enter either a Blog Post or post to an online gallery (Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram etc), more details on the Colour Dare Blog post (see link above).

I pulled out all the things I wanted to use to make this card project. *I did grab a couple of extra things after this AND didn't use everything that I first pulled.

I pulled cardstock = White DaisySagePine, (Mocha & Acorn didn't get used but are shown in the below photo), plus Triangle Trees Thin CutsTriangle Trees Stamp SetTriangle Trees Stencils (You can buy the trees set in a bundle - its amazing!). I also pulled Silver Bells—Cardmaking Stamp + Thin CutsSilver Bells Paper Packet + Sticker Sheet = I pulled out the mink coloured garland looking paper... and the Thanks a Bunch—November Stamp of the Month and Silver Bells Dots and Blending Brushes with Sage Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad (and later- I pulled out Mocha ink too).

I looked at all the cardstock and decided I just wanted to cut lots of Christmas tree triangles but I didn't want them to be brown so I only cut, green (sage & pine), grey (mink pattern) and white cardstock.

I didn't have many scraps for the pine cardstock but I cut 2 sizes on scrap with a bit of a hang-over which didn't matter because I was overlapping them and the tiny bit could be hidden.

I cut varying sizes and layered them a few different ways. I knew I was going to use the Triangle Tree stencils and stamps. Then every time I stamped or stencilled a triangle I rearranged the triangles.

I stamped with Sage ink with theTriangle Trees Stamp Set on the green and white and stencilled with Sage on the Triangles and directly on the Slimline Cards & Envelopes with the using the Triangle Trees Stencils

After I had stamped on the white triangles I used my blending brush to add some Sage ink to the white cardstock so they would stand out against the other trees. Each tree had a different treatment. On the Pine Cardstock I stamped with Mocha ink because I didn't think the sage would show up on the darker cardstock.

To finish I stamped the sentiment from the Stamp of the Month "Today and everyday, I am" and then from Silver Bells—Cardmaking Stamp + Thin Cuts "Wishing you JOY". so it reads, Today and everyday, I am wishing you Joy.

Then I put some of the metallic brown Silver Bells Dots
