School Year S1708 Australasian Blog Hop

Welcome to our Australasian Blog Hop. We have all been creating with the "School Year—August Stamp of the Month" Stamp set. If you have arrived here from Colleen Geldenhuys then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas and eventually you'll come right back here to where you started.

Today I would like to share with you my project which features the School Year—August Stamp of the Month available exclusively throughout August 2017 for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75.

This is clearly a perfect school style stamp but the extra's on the stamp are great for lots of general purposes, the speech bubble and Frame can be used with any sentiment and any set from any other pack. The hearts are too cute and should go on everything, plus you've got the arrow which goes perfectly with Bullet journalling. I'm sure you'll see lots of great examples on all the pages to come along the hop.

I am currently making a small album for both my children with the Everyday Life™ Album—Bashful (for my daughter) and last catalogues Sea Glass for my son (which you can still purchase in the half price Everyday Life™ Sea Glass Album & 2017 Planner Pages Bundle).

This album is an encouragement album with lots of positive self-esteem things in them. I wanted a title to fit into the 3x4 sized pocket near the photos about school.

My daughter loves pink so I used a piece of Raspberry Cardstock (on the darker side) cut at 4x3 inches. Then my White Daisy Cardstock
I cut half and inch smaller so 2.5 x 3.5 to stamp onto. I used Raspberry Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad
to stamp the "First Day of School" and then the New COLOUR OF THE YEAR Bashful Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad
to stamp the hearts twice and then the pencil below.

After I'd done my stamping I slotted it into my daughters album. All the photos are in the album in the Memory Protectors™ 3" × 4"Memory Protectors™ 4" × 6" and Memory Protectors™ 6" × 8"
All that I need to do is finish the journalling and titles. I find I can't do this at a workshop or camp day because I need to focus on what I'm journalling so I need quiet. Hence this is the only part still to be finished.

After I did my title 3x4 section. I decided to make a card too. I love the frame and think he was just perfect for the  Jack Cardmaking Stamp + Thin Cuts
That bear is unbearably cute (see what I did there... hehehehehe).

The card was inspired by a friend who's son is graduating and finishing school soon.

I needed to make a frame which was perfect on my first one because it wasn't a great stamped image first time around using Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad so I cut that one out with my Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors.

Then I stamped a second frame in the black ink (nicer) and stuck the first cut out frame over the second frame and stamped the bear on it with new Mink Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad

On white daisy I stamped the frame from the Stamp of the Month in Black ink again and used the "its your day" from the Jack Cardmaking stamp set which fit perfectly.

The I stamped Cranberry Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad for the bear hugs title and the tie on the bear. I fussy cut it all out including rounding the edges on my offcut of the "last day of school" and stuck it onto my 4 1/4" × 5 1/2" White Cards & Envelopes Value Pack using Duck® Easy Stick™ Adhesive

I finished off with the grey plaid paper from Workshops Your Way® Jack Scrapbooking Kit and inked the edges in black by just running it lightly over the stamp pad to get a black edge. I also wanted a touch more red on there so I grabbed out an old heart enamel sticker but Red Enamel Gems would also have worked here.

  4. What little girl doesn't love pink and those two colours look great together. Telling the stories that go with our photos is so important. Great projects,
