This is the pack we were given at our 2019 Convention in March so I got to play with it there. We were given a set of instructions and I made my pages almost to the instructions. But I cut out the inside of the papers to save some (as it was new to me and I didn't have my orders arriving yet so wanted to make the new paper last as long as possible).

#CTMHVandra, #ctmhSweetGirl, Flip Flap, scrapbooking, pocket scrapbooking, flowers, holiday, travel, Butterflies, hearts, Pink,

Then I laid out the photos I wanted to put on the pages and I had WAY too many photos to put onto the page. Come in my favourite addition to page making the humble 4x6 flip flap. These come in both vertical and horizontal within the pack (see here to open link to what I'm talking about Flip Flaps™ Memory Protectors™ 4" × 6"). They also come in a variety of other sizes = 3x4, 5x7, 2x2, 3x3, 4x4 and 6x12.

Flip flaps get put onto the page protector so they have to be placed once the page is inside the protector. I prefer the Memory Protectors™ Side Loading sleeves.  Usually I photograph my pages without the memory protectors as having them on does make it very hard to photograph flip flaps with reflections and such. I haven't done a great job below as its hard to hold the page open, not get reflection off the covers and show the display. I've done the best I could without showing a video.

This photo below is showing how I laid out the photos stacked on top of each other.

The photo Below this is how the finished page looks when its in the page protectors and flip flaps. Obviously the top photos are the best photos and the additional photos are underneath. I could have cropped the photos but its a scenic mountain we visited in Queensland so I didn't want to crop too much or I would have lost the grandeur of the scenery. But the photos weren't that great so I was happy to hide them as my family are the central theme of the photos.

The below photo is taken with the flip flaps open. You can't see all the pictures I have on this layout because one flip flap is covering another but its just for the general idea. 8 photos in total fit on this page.

The below photo is the left hand side page with the favourite photos on top with a vertical and horizontal flip flap. this shows 7 photos on this page.

Really happy with how these turned out. While the paper is sort of girly and babyish, travel and holiday photos also suited quite well this gorgeous soft paper pack. I really enjoyed working with Sweet Girl and will miss it when its gone. Get your hands on it quickly because we only have a limited time with it. The complements and titles are my favourite.

NB: When we got this paper pack at convention the White Alphabet Foam Stickers lettering wasn't available so I haven't got back to putting a title on it yet. I can't wait to get hold of that white foam lettering because I've seen the fabulous titles made with them. See below for a few artworks from Close to My Heart showing the cool title stickers.

School Year S1708 Australasian Blog Hop

Welcome to our Australasian Blog Hop. We have all been creating with the "School Year—August Stamp of the Month" Stamp set. If you have arrived here from Colleen Geldenhuys then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas and eventually you'll come right back here to where you started.

Today I would like to share with you my project which features the School Year—August Stamp of the Month available exclusively throughout August 2017 for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75.

This is clearly a perfect school style stamp but the extra's on the stamp are great for lots of general purposes, the speech bubble and Frame can be used with any sentiment and any set from any other pack. The hearts are too cute and should go on everything, plus you've got the arrow which goes perfectly with Bullet journalling. I'm sure you'll see lots of great examples on all the pages to come along the hop.

I am currently making a small album for both my children with the Everyday Life™ Album—Bashful (for my daughter) and last catalogues Sea Glass for my son (which you can still purchase in the half price Everyday Life™ Sea Glass Album & 2017 Planner Pages Bundle).

This album is an encouragement album with lots of positive self-esteem things in them. I wanted a title to fit into the 3x4 sized pocket near the photos about school.

My daughter loves pink so I used a piece of Raspberry Cardstock (on the darker side) cut at 4x3 inches. Then my White Daisy Cardstock
I cut half and inch smaller so 2.5 x 3.5 to stamp onto. I used Raspberry Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad
to stamp the "First Day of School" and then the New COLOUR OF THE YEAR Bashful Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad
to stamp the hearts twice and then the pencil below.

After I'd done my stamping I slotted it into my daughters album. All the photos are in the album in the Memory Protectors™ 3" × 4"Memory Protectors™ 4" × 6" and Memory Protectors™ 6" × 8"
All that I need to do is finish the journalling and titles. I find I can't do this at a workshop or camp day because I need to focus on what I'm journalling so I need quiet. Hence this is the only part still to be finished.

After I did my title 3x4 section. I decided to make a card too. I love the frame and think he was just perfect for the  Jack Cardmaking Stamp + Thin Cuts
That bear is unbearably cute (see what I did there... hehehehehe).

The card was inspired by a friend who's son is graduating and finishing school soon.

I needed to make a frame which was perfect on my first one because it wasn't a great stamped image first time around using Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad so I cut that one out with my Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors.

Then I stamped a second frame in the black ink (nicer) and stuck the first cut out frame over the second frame and stamped the bear on it with new Mink Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad

S1708 School Year, Jack, #CTMHJack, Cardmaking, Pocket Scrapbooking, Vandra's Virtual CTMH Craftroom

On white daisy I stamped the frame from the Stamp of the Month in Black ink again and used the "its your day" from the Jack Cardmaking stamp set which fit perfectly.

The I stamped Cranberry Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad for the bear hugs title and the tie on the bear. I fussy cut it all out including rounding the edges on my offcut of the "last day of school" and stuck it onto my 4 1/4" × 5 1/2" White Cards & Envelopes Value Pack using Duck® Easy Stick™ Adhesive

I finished off with the grey plaid paper from Workshops Your Way® Jack Scrapbooking Kit and inked the edges in black by just running it lightly over the stamp pad to get a black edge. I also wanted a touch more red on there so I grabbed out an old heart enamel sticker but Red Enamel Gems would also have worked here.

Charlotte Collection Australasian Blog Hop

Welcome to our Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop featuring this months featured pack called Charlotte = Workshops Your Way™ Charlotte Scrapbooking KitThis new Kit is really pretty and these new designs of Workshops Your Way Kits are so useful.

If you have arrived here from Maz Wood - Inky Fingers then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas and eventually you'll come right back here to where you started.

We are all creating with the Workshops Your Way™ Charlotte Scrapbooking Kit.
This kit is featured by Close to My Heart in February and is available for the lifetime of the current Seasonal Expressions 1 Ideas Book (so will be retiring by April 2016). NOT LONG!!
We got this pack at our Close to My Heart Convention last year and we made at the convention the 6 double-page spreads and 9 cards. Your consultant can give you the handouts to make these when you purchase Charlotte or you can download them from my website. Look under the online catalogue and type in Charlotte (it is on the Workshops Your Way™ Charlotte Scrapbooking Kit page link).

Since Convention I have made 12 Birthday card kits for a Consultant Card Buffet (see below). Then for this blog hop I used scraps from the kit and made a 6x6 sized card and decorated a gift bag. Later I will show you all the bits I have left over to continue creating with. So much value for only $41.

Workshops Your Way™ Charlotte Scrapbooking Kit Contents:
1 – Charlotte Paper Packet (X7205B)
1 – Charlotte Complements (X7205C)
3 – Cardstock Sheets (1 Black, 2 Whisper)
1 – Black & Gold Ribbon (Z3197)
1 – Treasured Puffies (Z3203)
Featured Colors: Black, Champagne, Slate, Sorbet, Whisper, White Daisy
Use the materials and the online guide to create three traditional layouts and one Picture My Life™ layout.

*Note: The only additions to this kit for me where the Value Pack 5 1/2" X 4 1/4" White Cards & Envelopes, Value Pack for the 22 cards I've made and 1 sheet of Watercolor PaperI will also use some Picture My Life Memory Protectors™ to finish off my PML pages using the PML Printed Page on the Workshops Your Way Kit, that I will be making.

This new system is FANTASTIC!! Its truly amazing!!
This is the 6x6 card I made for Valentines Day (or you could use it for a wedding, birthday, anniversary or any other special day), using all my scraps of the Workshops Your Way™ Charlotte Scrapbooking Kit.
You could use the Charlotte Paper Packet and the embellishments "Special Day" with gold accents and the black stripe heart are from the Charlotte Complements (or Workshops your way).

After making the card I decided to decorate a black gift bag I had left over from ages ago. I placed a few scraps around to decide which placement I liked. I like them all but you can see which scraps I chose on the bag.

These flowers were made using the Springtime Wishes stamp set with the Watercolor PaintsI fussy cut the flowers out with Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors but I can't wait to get some of the Springtime Wishes Thin Cuts to use in my Big Shot Embossing Machine.

Front of the bag I made - using Charlotte Complements and Treasured Puffies (all from the Workshops your way kit SCRAPS!)
Back of the Bag made with Charlotte Complements (from the Workshops your way Kit SCRAPS)
This is the card I made for the Consultant Card Buffet (x 12)

This card is made using Charlotte paper, water colour paper, Archival Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Paand the Host reward Stamp called Birthday Wishes (see page 8 of the Annual Inspirations Ideas book). Plus Watercolor Paints and White Shimmer Trim.

Below is almost everything I've made.
The 6 pages, 10 cards and 1 gift bag I have made with this kit (Plus the 12 extra Buffet cards not pictured).

Live Your Day CTMH Australasian Blog Hop

Welcome to our Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop featuring this months Special Picture My Life™ Live Your Day Scrapbooking Program Pack. If you have arrived here from Meryl Cheetham - Mez's Craft Room then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas and eventually you'll come right back here to where you started.

The Picture My Life™ Live Your Day Scrapbooking Program is only available during January to Celebrate National Papercrafting Month. In Australia it's only $13.50 and available until 31st January 2016.

Its a beautiful Picture My Life pack and matches the beautiful Everyday Life™ Album—Black and the Everyday Life™ 2016 Planner Pages (The 2016 planner pages are currently 50% off while stocks last). You can slip these PML cards into the special Album pages that fit into the Everyday Life Album or the larger sized 12x12 PML pages.

These PML cards could be used in many ways, pages, cards, decorative items, PML large albums or these specialised newer sizes (shown above) which I'm sure the other ladies will show you all these different ideas, as you hop around the Blog Hop.

I decided to use some of the cards as a decorative frame. There are so many options because so many of these cards have beautiful sentiments, just perfect to add to a frame for a beautiful poster.

I had a frame left over from the blog post I made last month. I bought these shadow box frames cheaply from Kmart that fit these cards perfectly. So I sampled a few of the different cards to see which one I liked best.

So many gorgeous options for gift frames. These would make great presents for someone in your life that you want to inspire.

I decided on this card and like all our PML cards on one side its vertical and the same sentiment is repeated on the other side horizontally.

Then I put it inside the frame and I'm very happy with it. A super quick décor item that looks great.

After I made the frame. I decided on a card using the cute love heart PML card from this pack too (Picture My Life™ Live Your Day Scrapbooking Program). I decided to make a 6x6 card so I cut a piece of 12" X 12" White Daisy Cardstock in half and folded it in half.

To make the PML card fit onto the 6x6 card evenly. I cut 1 inch of each side to make it a 4x4 square.

Around the edge of the 6x6 inch card I stamped the January Stamp of the Month Beloved Bouquet—January 2016 Stamp of the Month flower using Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad. I was inspired to use it in this way by Denise Tarlington from the last blog hop.

Then I laid over the PML card with the heart on it over the top and decided it was too busy.

So I cut a 12" X 12" White Daisy Cardstock to 4.5 x 4.5 inches and placed it behind the card to give some delineation for the two black pieces.

I was much happier with this. Then I used the Beloved Bouquet—January 2016 Stamp of the Month and put the title in the middle using Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad.

I placed the cards in the middle (the picture above isn't stuck down). I love the "You Mean so much to me" title. The Stamp of the Month and the Picture My Life™ Live Your Day Scrapbooking Program are both only available this month.

I combined this card with a 6" X 6" White Daisy Envelope

Now I have a gift frame décor item and card that all matches, all ready to go.

Remember this great PML set Picture My Life™ Live Your Day Scrapbooking Program and the Beloved Bouquet—January 2016 Stamp of the Month is only available throughout January from your Close to My Heart Consultant

Thanks so much for dropping by to check out my latest projects, I hope you get inspired to create a beautiful wall art item or card this month. I'm really interested to hear what you think about it, so I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop on our Australasian Blog Hop which is Maz Wood: Inky Fingers.
