Our Colour Dare Challenge for #522 is a Honey Butter Plus one blue (Sapphire, Lagoon or Glacier). All Neutrals free to use and you can use Silver, Gold or Copper in Metallic, Foil, Glitter or Embellishments. When you are creating for more than one challenge please make sure your project meets our requirement. Most importantly - have fun!  Go to the link for Colour Dare #522 and add your entry. When you submit your entry you must provide a link to your post, not just to your blog in general. There are LOTS of ways to enter either a Blog Post or post to an online gallery (Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram etc), more details on the Colour Dare Blog post (see link above).

I pulled out Lagoon CardstockLagoon Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad, and Honey Butter Cardstock. The Lagoon & Honey Butter looked like Clouds and sunshine to me so I pulled out my Under the Weather stamp set to create a Sorry You're Under the Weather card. I wanted to put the sentiment actually UNDER the weather (literal translation!). This stamp set was in a previous catalogue but it is still available online.

So first thing I did with the Slimline Cards & Envelopes was stamp directly onto the Slimline Card base in Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad. Then I grabbed the Lagoon Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad and stamped the rain cloud along above in a downward motion. I used a 3/4 inch strip of Honey Butter Cardstock x 8.5 inches (length of slimline card). then some scraps of lagoon cut at 8.5 inches wide and then torn. I tore the Lagoon Cardstock in three places all in the same direction and then turned one over (so the two shown in my card are the light and dark sides of the lagoon cardstock.

Note: Next time I wouldn't cut my scrap down to 8.5 inches before I tore it... I think if it was a little longer I could have angled the "clouds" more and not lost the stamping underneath as much (I knew I was going to loose some but I think stamping it was still valuable to get the rain showing thru.

I thought we needed a sun to go with the honey butter sunset... so because Gold Glitter was an option for this colour dare I pulled out my Gold Glitter Paper and found a roundish scrap... I think it was the inside of a letter or shape (maybe Gold Glitter sunglasses from one of the kits or a cricut cut inside of an 8 or a D shape?? Its a scrap it doesn't matter where it came from). I did grab my Circle Thin Cuts but figured a scrap was already in a circle type shape that I would just use that. Close enough. I did use the full sheets of Glitter paper for my background in my photo, I do love me some glitter!
