We are all creating with the Workshops Your Way® Prickly Pear Scrapbooking KitThis kit is featured by Close to My Heart in July and is available until the end of the new Seasonal Expressions Ideas Book just 6 more weeks.
Product Description
Kit contents:
1 – Prickly Pear Paper Packet (X7221B)
1 – Prickly Pear Complements (X7221C)
4 – cardstock sheets (1 Poppy, 3 White Daisy)
1 – Prickly Pear Sequins (Z3324)
1 – Blue Burlap Ribbon (Z3325)

Use the materials in this kit and the online instructions found on all consultants websites (click here find the instructions if you don't have a consultant) to create three coordinating scrapbook layouts and 3 cards designs.
I made the pages first using the cutting guide and then the cards as per the instructions except for a few minor changes that made a massive difference. As I usually do, I use a variation of the cards and pages just by turning over the double-sided papers.
The yellow paper is the Close to My Heart sample page and I LOVE the green variation paper on the back of the yellow paper that I had to do my page with the green showing through.

This floral paper is lovely but I simply adore the stripey rainbow colours on the back so I had to use those for my page.

I think the Green is the only page I did the same as the intended outline.

The cards from the kit use the  Prickly Pear Cardmaking Stamp + Thin Cuts Bundle. This is so cute and easy to cut the thin cuts and stamp the images of both the Llama (or Alpaca as my husband prefers) and the Cactus. All cards are made using the 4 1/4" × 5 1/2" White Cards & Envelopes Value Pack Cards.
As per the instructions I used the Watercolor Pencils to colour them in after stamping with Black Memento™ Ink Pad and some I left plain.

Below are the Close to My Heart Example.
These are the intended designs from the workshop your way kit and I cut them all to size but couldn't make them all exactly the same as the instructions...wheres the fun in that! Adhesive I used was Duck® Easy Stick™ Adhesive
Z3033, Memory Book Glue Dots™ (for the ribbon) and 3-D Foam Tape for dimension.

Similar but I put my own 'stamp' on the cards. Using Emerald Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad and Sapphire Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad.

After making the 6 pages and 9 cards I had HEAPS of leftover paper from this kit and complements, sequins and burlap ribbon, so I decided to have a play with some of my scraps to make some more cards.

I wanted to show a card that wasn't all about the cacti and mexicana style card. So I used the floral side and flowers from the complements to finish the card, showing a girly feminine side to this set.

The orange stripes was a PML card from the kit and the flowers are stickers from the complements and the "hooray" banner was a sticker mounted on some White Daisy Cardstock (so it didn't get lost putting pink directly on orange). Adhered that with foam tape and finished with sequins.

My last card to finish off was plain again, using the Let's Fiesta PML card, some rainbow stripes, plain thin cut shapes (cactus and llama) and 6 sequins - 3 large at the bottom and 3 small at the top. I was really happy with how it turned out and its probably one of my favourites overall.
