Our Colour Dare Challenge for #488 is the colours of the Cake Day Scrapbooking Workshop Kit. You need to choose at least 3 of the colours or you can use all 5 colours plus Black, White and Gold are Free to use. When you are creating for more than one challenge please make sure your project meets our requirement. Most importantly - have fun!  Go to the link for Colour Dare #488 and add your entry. When you submit your entry you must provide a link to your post, not just to your blog in general. There are LOTS of ways to enter either a Blog Post or post to an online gallery (Facebook, Pinterest, SplitCoast Stampers, or Instagram).

I love this Cake Day paper pack its so bright and colourful and the colour dare colours this week are so fun. I couldn't choose just 3 of them so I picked the paper with all the colours.

I decided on a front fold card (which is super hard to photograph because lying flat it looks boring and not at all interesting.

The White Daisy Cardstock is 8.5 inches wide by 5.5 inches long and scored/folded at 2.25 from each end. Then I cut the Cake Day paper down to 2 inches wide by 5.25 inches so I could meet the paper in the centre fold so it looks more like a hidden opening.

Then I cut a Cake Day—Scrapbooking Stamp + Thin Cuts B-Day Bash cake thin cut out in White Daisy Cardstock and then stamped in Wild Berry Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad

I also used the Wild Berry Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad to ink the edges of the outside of the paper, not the inside opening to maintain the hidden opening.

I only put Air Touch Adhesive on the left half of the cake thin cut so it can still open and hangs over half on the other side (my words don't feel very smooth with this today - its kinda hard to explain a 3D element). My middle opening card is almost a trick card with a hidden opening, I plan to give this to my Mother-in-Law for her Birthday tomorrow so hopefully its not too mean and she can work out how to open it :)

I finished it off with 3 clear diamantes (bling bling bling!) which are a little hard to see in the photo.

Colour Dare #486 Three, Two, One

#CTMHVandra, cardstock, wild berry, wisteria, Silver, Colour dare, color dare, #ctmhSmartyPants, happy, cardmaking,

Our Colour Dare Challenge for #486 is the fun 3-2-1 challenge with a twist. You need to use 3 colours (with one being the card base), 2 neutrals and 1 metallic or glitter in Silver, Gold or Copper. When you are creating for more than one challenge please make sure your project meets our requirement. Most importantly - have fun!  Go to the link for Colour Dare #486 and add your entry. When you submit your entry you must provide a link to your post, not just to your blog in general. I decided to use all cardstock (instead of printed papers) because CTMH have a cardstock carnival sale on at the moment with cardstock bundles being up to 30% off... so all my colours are using cardstock.

My Three, Two, one is as follows:

I cut the Wild berry cardstock to 8.5 x 4.5 inches and folded in half with dark side out (lighter inside) to create a card that will fit inside the White Cards & Envelopes Value Pack. I always have extra envelopes as I give cards without envelopes often = when I stick on the top of a parcel or something.

I had a team challenge to use a stamp set 5 ways so I was keen to create a card that showed a variation of what I would usually do... so I stamped the note pad from Smarty Pants Stamp + Thin Cuts on Wisteria, Peach and Mink in Black ink. Then I trimmed them up and rounded the one corner of each by hand... my scissor work could do with some practice!!

After I had cut out the note papers, I stamped the HAPPY, happy and happy stamps from the For All Occasions stamp set - it has 3 of them... so I stamped each colour a different font. I then used black ink to stamp the Just a happy note (from smarty pants) onto Wild Berry Cardstock... I thought it was a bit fuzzy around the edges and thought it was my stamping but looking at the carrier sheet for the stamp set it showed it was intentionally fuzzy looking around the edges... which you can see above.

I put the happy note on with 3D foam tape and used the shimmer trim to finish the edge off and add some sparkle.
