Today I would like to share with you my project which features the A Little Bit of Pun—December Stamp of the Month available exclusively throughout December 2017 for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75.

This month there is a special calendar kit available Through the Year Calendar Kit and I made up the kit and then had lots of scraps left over that I decided to use to make my cards with this months Stamp of the Month - the CUTEST stamp set = there are so many options for these stamps and I loved the Mermaid stamp most so after seeing some ideas on Pinterest and around abouts, I decided to make a mermaid scales card.

I used the second smallest thin cut circle and used some green, yellow, pink (Aka Sweet Leaf CardstockLemon Cardstock and Bashful Cardstock) plus Gold Glitter Paper... The circles were exactly in the three-quarters of an inch on each side. I had to cut more than was pictured because I decided to go up higher than I originally planned.

I placed the first three circles touching the sides, the bottom and slightly overlapping each other. Then I cut some in half to do the bottom overlapping and the pink bottom corners were a half cut into quarters. The rest were full circles besides down the sides that were half sized, vertical. The bottom halves were horizontal.

Hint: only put adhesive on the bottom half of the circles to start with - then go back and add glue dots to those that require it after you've finished.
I added the text We MERMAID to be Friends with 3D foam tape. I stamped in
Black Memento™ Ink

The second card I made was using the gem stamp on white cardstock using Black Memento™ Ink. I didn't take any progress photos. After I had stamped I then coloured in with Watercolor Pencils the bottom third of the gemstone and spread the colour around using the Shimmer Brush—Clear. The photo doesn't show it but the gemstone is glittering and shimmering. My birthstone is amethyst so I think I'm partial to purples stones :)

This purple (Pansy Cardstock) is scraps from the Calendar kit also. As is the grey Basics Fundamental Paper Packet leftover from that kit. Added a tiny touch of Silver Shimmer Trim, dovetailed with my Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors and it finished it off nicely.

Regatta CTMH Collection Australasian Blog Hop

Welcome to our Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop featuring this months featured pack called Workshops Your Way™ Regatta Scrapbooking KitThis soon to be retiring kit is really fun and these new designs of Workshops Your Way Kits are so useful.

If you have arrived here from Doris Taylor Creative Inspirations then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas and eventually you'll come right back here to where you started.

We are all creating with the Workshops Your Way™ Regatta Scrapbooking Kit.
This kit is featured by Close to My Heart in April and is until the end of the current Seasonal Expressions 1 Ideas Book (so will be retiring at the end of April 2016). NOT LONG!!
I made the pages and the cards from the Workshops Your Way™ Regatta Scrapbooking Kit
and had lots of fun doing it.

Workshops Your Way™ Regatta Scrapbooking Kit Contents:
1 – Regatta Paper Packet (X7206B)
1 – Regatta Complements (X7206C)
3 – Cardstock Sheets (2 Glacier, 1 Flaxen)
1 – White & Gold Ribbon (Z3189)
1 – Maritime Puffies (Z3204)
Featured Colors: Flaxen, Glacier, Pomegranate, Sapphire, White Daisy
Use the materials and the online guide to create three traditional layouts and one Picture My Life™ layout. Click here to Download Guide or go to my website and download from there.

*Note: The only additions to this kit for me where the Value Pack 5 1/2" X 4 1/4" White Cards & Envelopes, Value Pack. I may also use some Picture My Life Memory Protectors™ to finish off my PML pages using the PML Printed Page on the Workshops Your Way Kit, that I may be making.

Below is one of the layouts. The other layouts I did aren't pictured. This is on our trip to Bremer Bay, Wagin isn't near the coast but the pages matched with the colours and the sentiments so I did my Bremer Bay photos AND my on the way to Bremer Bay photos!

With the cards for the Workshops Your Way™ Regatta Scrapbooking Kit that I could turn the paper around for a different look, I did it. Just by reversing the paper created such a different look on both sides. I really loved the My Anchor Thin Cuts and My Anchor stamp set, specifically the cute little boats and birds flying. I also really love the sayings on this stamp set. Very romantic and loving, or to share with someone that has been very supportive of you.

I made the cards from the kit (two of the cards that are the same are not pictured above), and then afterwards, I made a variety of other cards using SCRAPS!!
I made the above card just using scraps from the pages, plus one of the 4x3 picture my life cards and the zip strip title. To finish it off I put a strip of White Shimmer TrimSo easy to make this card from scraps. All put together about Duck® Easy Stick™ Adhesive
and the title put on with 3-D Foam Tape.

I used the My Anchor Thin Cuts and My Anchor Stamp set for the Glacier Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad waves, and Pomegranate Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad for the boat and Sapphire Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad for the flag on the Ship. The flags and the "you are sunshine for my soul" title were from zip strips on the edge of the pages.

The above Happy Day card was made using a 3x4 picture my life card and a scrap of Glacier CardstockThe Happy was from the My Anchor Thin Cuts and My Anchor Stamp set stamped with Sapphire Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad and the Day title was stamped with White Daisy Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad (left carefully because Pigment ink takes longer to dry). I finished it with Red Shimmer Trim covered with White & Gold Ribbon from the Workshops Your Way™ Regatta Scrapbooking KitI stuck the ribbon onto the shimmer trim with Micro Glue Dots™3-D Foam Tape added dimension to the cards.

The above card was made using more scraps, plus the same 'Happy' and Boat from the previous cards (stamped twice because I cut the thin cuts with two thicknesses of paper). Birthday title was created with the Handwritten PrintFinished the card off with Maritime Puffies

I still have lots of scraps left over, plus Maritime Puffiespicture my life cards and Regatta Complements from the lovely Workshops Your Way™ Regatta Scrapbooking KitMy plan is to use these all up so I can start on the new papers when the new ideas book/catalogue is released next month!

Remember Regatta is only available until the end of THIS MONTH so make sure you get it soon, so you don't miss out! Go to my website www.vandra.ctmh.com.au or your consultants website and order today.
