Colour Dare #410 Red, White & Blue

I made a selection of cards using the scraps of Red, White and Blue cardstock, paper and inks. I used Sapphire Ink, and Candy Apple Ink for my titles.

I used a variety of thin cuts, and cricut cuts mostly from Cricut® Artbooking Digital Collection. I used the off-cuts fro the star page to make the star cards on these 3x3 sized fathers day cards. 

I'm not sure what the size of the original cut out that I used on another project but I kept all the star cutouts and used them on my cards below. That's how I got the random, half stars, and stars with their points cut off... I was able to add them to my cards and not waste a single piece of paper. I love a project that is a two-for-one cricut cut out. 

I made a bunch of these 3x3 sized cards for our local primary school to sell on their Fathers Day card. The ones pictured below are just a selection - I made 20 in total. I used my sequins in blue, and stickers in red, everything else was with paper. Every card has red white and blue in a variety of shades and tones. It was really great to scrap my stash and use up all those off cuts and little scraps of paper.

Colour Dare #408 Tic-Tac-Toe Timber paper palette colours

Our Colour Dare Challenge for #408 is a Tick-Tac-Toe with Black, White, silver and gold free. You are invited to participate in this challenge too. I chose to make a Fathers Day Card as it is coming up shortly and I am needing some cards to sell at the Good Life Store in York, Western Australia where I have some of my cards for sale. This was one of the cards I made for that. 

The colours I chose in the tic-tac-toe were the left hand column were New England Ivy, Sapphire, Ballerina and then added some Toffee Exclusive Inks™

I used the You Make Me happy stamp set which is soon to retire at the end of August. So grab this stamp set and with every purchase of this stamp set, $7 USD are donated to the life saving mission of Operation Smile™.  Set of 25.

I stamped in Sapphire Exclusive Inks™ with one of my CTMH Script fonts and then stamped the "Just for You" from the You Make Me Happy stamp set also in Sapphire. 

Strokes of an Artist was used to stamp the Toffee Exclusive Inks™ in second generation on the corners. I inked it up and then stamped it on scrap before stamping on the edge of the card for a more aged appearance. 

The heart banner was cut from the Cricut® Artbooking Digital Collection and trimmed on the edges after I stuck ballerina cardstock behind the hearts. 

The New England Ivy paper was from my stash as was the Sapphire paper. I used the stitched circle thin cut which has sold out now but new thin cuts are coming soon (watch this space!).

I am totally in love with these stamp sets. they are ideal for so many different projects. The three different stamps represent the three major types of scrapbooking, and they mix and match perfectly.  

For my first project I decided to make a page for my son called "10 things I love about you". I got these from the Artbooking cartridge page 81. I have wanted for ages to make a 10 things I love about you Page for my son. This was the perfect opportunity. 

Firstly I cut the 10 things and the bubble numbers 1-10 on the cricut with 12" X 12" Glacier Cardstock. 

I cut a few so I could make a page for my daughter next also. As shown below I took the cutout left behind and traced around it with a pencil onto 12" X 12" White Daisy Cardstock. I used this white daisy cutout to back the numbers so they would stand out. 

I created the title and used the heart and LOVE from the Hello, Life!—Pocket Scrapbooking

stamp set in Glacier Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad on 12" X 12" White Daisy Cardstock.

for the letters I used Hopscotch Alphabet which is my new favourite alphabet stamp set!

I placed all the bits onto the page but haven't posted a completed photo because I wanted to keep the page contents private. 

Next I had a play with the brand new Watercolor Paints and Paintbrush Set. My first attempt below was a bit dismal but it was fun to play and learn something new. I hadn't got in the special Watercolor Paper when I created this so I just used 12" X 12" White Daisy Cardstock and it seemed to worked just fine for what I needed it for.   

Next I did a colour gradient on an angle like a sunset and I was much happier with that one. Especially when I finished it off. 

To finish it off I added one of the Hello, Life!—Cardmaking Hello stamps, stamped with Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad and matted it in 12" X 12" Black Cardstock.  The base was 5 1/2" X 4 1/4" White Cards & Envelopes, Value Pack. I LOVE how this card turned out. So simple, elegant and FUN!

My last idea was a welcome card I did for my 10 fold swap at our monthly team meeting. Consultants make 10 of 1 idea and share with others. This could be a welcome to my workshop, welcome to the neighbourhood, welcome to my team, etc etc, So simple that I just used the 5 1/2" X 4 1/4" White Cards & Envelopes, Value Pack, a strip of Black Shimmer Trim, a offcut of Nevermore Paper Packet.
