This is clearly your 2017 go to Christmas Stamp set for all your Christmas Cards! I am away for a few days with my kids on School Holidays so I brought a Workshop your Way, some White cards and envelopes, a few basic ink colours, a few acrylic blocks and some adhesives. I am pretty happy with the Christmas cards I made with these limitations.
The first thing I did was get some Christmas colours out - red and green () NB: the Ruby pictured below is in the old format and no longer comes like this.
I have the www.vandra.closetomyheart.com.au or on your consultants website, with specific instruction guide is with the Silver & Gold Workshops your Way kit. and firstly cut out all the pieces to make the pages and cards and had one of the card bases for Project 6 in the cutting guide. I usually make up my cards out of the "scraps" from the kits after making all the projects. But the project 6 makes 3 cards so I used the base and made my card below. You can find the instructions for all the kits on my website
This kit is one of my favourites because so much of it isn't christmassy. Almost ALL of the papers can be used for non-christmas pages and cards. Anyway I had the card base for Project 6 and I used it for the card I made below.
To make the shimmer paper backing (as I didn't have my glitter paper stash with me), I did have the and (the gold comes in the kit) and I used a larger piece of White daisy card stock (half inch wider) and covered the edges in . I matted the Wreath on top with and then the larger glitter on the bottom with . To give it extra dimension. I do love where the "I Love Christmas" on the paper came out on the card.
Next I used one of the Reindeer Zip Stips to edge the bottom of the card below. I stamped with the Merry & Bright bauble onto one of the Picture My Life cards from the kit. Then I matted it with the dark side of the that came inside the Workshop your way kit with . A very basic card but I'm happy with how it turned out. I really like grey as a Christmas neutral colour!
Last month I made some cards using the Gold Foil Hearts from this kit to make the "You're in my Heart" card with the special National Stamping Day Special Stamp set, for a consultant swap and as sympathy cards for sale (see below). Using and .
I loved how this turned out and I still had some of this lovely gold foil hearts paper cut to size and so I decided to use that same pattern to make a Christmas Tree card. I stamped in from the kit to spruce up the card. and used and
This is a great card to use some of the beautiful foil heart paper but only 1-2 inches at a time (1.5 or 1.75 I think) x 4.25 inches... getting lots of cards out of one stunning paper sheet.
Please note: I found photographing the gold foil difficult both times I took pics of it (above last month and below today), so I do apologise for the quality of the photos. I hope you still get the gist of what I made.
Remember this great stamp set is only available throughout October from my website or from your Close to My Heart Consultant.
