Easter Bunny Cricut Lolly Pops and Chocolate Covers

Its been ages since I have done a blog post that wasn't related to the Colour Dare Challenge, but I created these Easter Bunnies and chocolate bar packages on my Cricut Design Space (and cut, score and drawn on my Cricut Maker) for Easter Gifts for my family and wanted to share here. 

The Easter Bunny Lolly Pop holders were designed by me using the Cricut® Daisy Meadows Collection on Cricut Design space. Anyone who purchases this collection for me can get this template for FREE, I will include the cricut design for the chocolate box too. Send me a message and I'll send you the Design Space link. 

I also created these chocolate bar holders for Chocolate bars that fit 180g chocolate bars. I was inspired by Laura Beacham's Easter Bunny chocolate cover. I used retired cardstock and my 14yr old daughter helped me choose and we had the Cricut draw the family members initials on their chocolate bars (couples had to share a block). Then I put a belly band around them with Daisy Meadows Bulk Paper Packet which is still available = I used a 1.5 inch x 10 inch strip of Daisy meadows bulk paper. I used the red CTMH Adhesive Tape to adhere the bottom and side of the chocolate box and then I left the top flap of the boxes without adhesive so they could easily access the box and hide things inside it - no one needs know how much chocolate is hiding inside.

Colour Dare #464 Wild Berry, Ballerina and Nectarine

Our Colour Dare Challenge for #464 is the colours of the Boo Crew Product Bundle, pretty Wildberry (colour of the year) with Ballerina and Nectarine, you are free to use Black & White. When you are creating for more than one challenge please make sure your project meets our requirement. For Colour Dare Challenge #458 I made a 90th Birthday card for a gentleman who's like family and this month his wife also turned 90 so I needed to make another 90th card. I took the Design Space file I created in that challenge and tweeked it to make it more feminine. See my post #458 for that design space file.  

For this project, I used the Wild Berry Cardstock as the base, Ballerina Cardstock as the cover and Nectarine Cardstock as the flower centres. I then used White Daisy cardstock to cut a centre section to write on. You could write directly onto the Wild Berry but easier to read in white.  I did trim the white a little at the top to fit nicer into the inside of the 90 so that the card sat flatter.

Note: The flowers are from the Cricut® Flower Market Digital Collection so you will need that before you can open my free Cricut file. If you already have it you should be able to open no problems, if you need it you can purchase from my website or your CTMH Makers website. 

After I'd cut all the peices I decided the ballerina peice was too flat and I wanted to give it dimension so I grabbed out my Ballerina Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad and stamped Birthday all over it in a random pattern. My ink pad looks like it needs a refill as the whole pad isn't juicy but I liked how the mottled look was for this stamp, I thought it created extra dimension... so I wasn't overly concerned, but I will need to grab some Ballerina re-inker. Ballerina is a favourite in our house. 

The stampset is called For All Occasions and it has lots of great sentiments. 

Before I stuck the flowers onto the card I used my thumb nail to curve the petals upwards to create some more dimension. The card was to be posted so it might get flattened but I was hoping it stayed dimensional. 

Super happy with this colour arrangement for my card. You can get a selection of those colours in the Boo Crew Coordinating Cardstock pack or you can create your own cardstock pack with a Custom Cardstock Pack--12 Sheet or a Custom Cardstock Pack—24 Sheet. This means you can get a selection of coloured cardstock of your choice. Minimum quantity of 2 sheets per colour.

Colour Dare #446 Yellow, Blue, Grey

I needed to make my father in law an 80th birthday card so jumped into Cricut design space and created an 80th birthday card. I grabbed a font that I liked. (I don't even remember which font). Then I changed the letter space to put the 8 and 0 touching, so close I think it went into the negative. Then I copied and pasted and flipped the 80 over and overlapped it a little. I added a couple of score lines and made it as big as would fit on a cricut mat (piece of cardstock). I then duplicated the whole 80 again and then cut it in half and deleted the parts I didn't need and recoloured the blue section for the front of the card. Then to get the yellow section I used the new offset feature in cricut design space and went into the negative to get an inside shape. This is an awesome new feature that makes things SOooo much easier to create additional layers on your project. Then I added the Lets Party banner from the Cricut® Flower Market Digital Collection. Let's party was a bit of a cheeky thing to write but we were all heading over to Rottnest (An island off the coast of Western Australia that has the only colony of cute Australian mammals called Quokka's), for a whole weekend so I thought "let's party" was kind of appropriate. The photo of him opening the card was taken on the Rottnest Ferry (the boat that takes people to the island, its a 45 minute ride).

In Cricut Design Space I have coloured the card the colours I wanted for this challenge but you can create this card in any colour you wish. I have included the design space file FREE for you to download (see below). Colour Dare #428 Recipe 1+1+1

I wanted to use the new special Perfect Match Workshop Kit

so I choose the Black and Candy Apple colour, as my Neutral and Colour. So 1+1 Chosen. 

Then I needed some Metallic so I pulled out Gold Foil Patterns Paper Packet 
 

So my 1 Neutral = Black

1 Metallic = Gold Foil pattern

1 colour = Candy Apple. 

1+1+1

(White is my free colour)

I really wanted to make a card from Lisa Stenz's Video on Valentines Day Shutter Cards. (Click Here to get link to her video with cricut design space file). 

I got myself a Cricut Maker last year and only started playing with it just before Christmas, and I had to get myself a scoring tool. I needed it to cut the Shutter Card with Lisa's design space file. I got so excited when I got the scoring tool and could use it at the same time as the cutting. This is the best feature of the Cricut Maker. 

I had the paper, the cricut design space file and the idea to make my nephew his birthday card. It's hard to photograph the card I made with the shutter function. 

I used the white as the card base, candy apple red for internal parts, Candy Apple Gingham from perfect match from the front. The internal red circle spare to use on the front, black xo paper from Perfect Match for the two 1's I cut out using Classic Alphabet Thin Cuts and Gold Stripe paper from the Gold Foil patterns. I used 3-D Foam Tape on the front and internal parts and Dual-tip Permanent Glue Pen.

I stamped the Swirly Happy Birthday (M sized stamp set that everyone should get) & Winter Penguins Stamp + Thin Cuts in Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad.

Colour Dare #410 Red, White & Blue

 

Our Colour Dare Challenge for #410 is a Red, White & Blue challenge with Black, silver, gold and neutrals free. You are invited to participate in this challenge too. Go to the link for Colour Dare #410 and add your entry. 

I made a selection of cards using the scraps of Red, White and Blue cardstock, paper and inks. I used Sapphire Ink, and Candy Apple Ink for my titles.

I used a variety of thin cuts, and cricut cuts mostly from Cricut® Artbooking Digital Collection. I used the off-cuts fro the star page to make the star cards on these 3x3 sized fathers day cards. 

I'm not sure what the size of the original cut out that I used on another project but I kept all the star cutouts and used them on my cards below. That's how I got the random, half stars, and stars with their points cut off... I was able to add them to my cards and not waste a single piece of paper. I love a project that is a two-for-one cricut cut out. 

I made a bunch of these 3x3 sized cards for our local primary school to sell on their Fathers Day card. The ones pictured below are just a selection - I made 20 in total. I used my sequins in blue, and stickers in red, everything else was with paper. Every card has red white and blue in a variety of shades and tones. It was really great to scrap my stash and use up all those off cuts and little scraps of paper.
