Colour Dare #540 Fancy Five

 

Our Colour Dare Challenge for #540 is a Four Square Board. You need to choose at least 3 colours from the above photo. You are also free to use all Neutrals and Metallics. When you are creating for more than one challenge please make sure your project meets our requirement. This challenge I wanted to focus on Stamping because this month Close to My Heart has a stamp special.  Stamptacular savings of 35% on My Acrylix® stamp sets and up to 60% on Stamp + Thin Cuts sets! So I pulled out 4 colours and 4 stamp sets and 4 inks. 

I pulled out Ballerina Cardstock and Ink, Sage Cardstock and Ink, Toffee Cardstock and Ink & Sapphire Cardstock and ink. The four stamp sets I chose were Meowgical Stamp + Thin Cuts,  For All Occasions Stamp Set, Pretty Little Ponies Stamp + Thin Cuts (only a few left), Background Elements Stamp Set. To do Tone-on-tone stamping. 

I cut the 4 cardstock colours into 1.25 inches x 4.125 inches. 

I used Background Elements Stamp Set (shown above) on the Sapphire Cardstock with Sapphire Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad.

I used the For All Occasions Stamp Set (shown above) with Sage Cardstock and Sage Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad. Note: I did some stamp surgery by cutting the Party Time stamp set in half with scissors. If you don't want to do that, you'll just need to mask it off each time. 

I used Pretty Little Ponies Stamp + Thin Cuts (shown Above) [only a few left so hurry if you want the pretty ponies!!] with Toffee Cardstock with Toffee Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad. 

The Meowgical Stamp + Thin Cuts (shown above) I used with Ballerina Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad  on Ballerina Cardstock but the pink was so faint it was too hard to see, so I went over it with Toffee Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad. You can sort of see the pink behind it. 

I spaced out the 4 strips of card and adhered them with Air Touch Adhesive so they are flat to the White Cards & Envelopes Value Pack card. 

To finish the card off I put the BIRTHDAY stamp from For All Occasions Stamp Set with Sapphire Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad on White Daisy Cardstock. I attached it with 3D Foam Tape and put gold embellishing thread and gold glitter gems from my stash.

Colour Dare #482 Inspirational Valentine

 

Our Colour Dare Challenge for #482 is the inspirational valentines photo above, you are free to use Black, White, Gold and Silver. First up I decided I wanted to make a birthday card for my nephew using the Smarty Pants Stamp and chose the Sneaker. I have the thin cuts too but didn't use them for this card. 

I cut some White Daisy Cardstock to an eight of an inch below the 4 x 5.25 inch 

Black Cardstock mat that fits onto the White Cards & Envelopes Value Pack card base perfectly. 

Then I randomly stamped in Memento ink (or similar for alcohol markers like 

Intense Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad or Archival Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad). 

Looking at the colours in the valentines inspirational pic I chose the following colours... Coral TriBlend™ Marker, Citrus TriBlend™ Marker, Green Turquoise TriBlend™ Marker, True Blue TriBlend™ Marker and I coloured in the sneakers. I originally trialled shading but didn't love the shading (see blue sneakers) so the others I just solidly coloured without shading in 3 colour tones... I just picked one from each tri-blend that I thought went close to the inspiration picture. 

Colouring tip: I went out of the lines a couple of times but was able to hid that by using the White Gel Pens to hide the colour mistakes. I did try the colourless Blender Marker but it didn't remove the colour enough so I covered it with the white pens and it was perfectly hidden. 

For the title I used the "For All Occasions" stamp set and coloured each letter in... I tried to do a pattern but messed it up so it really ended up random. 

I matted the coloured party time title in black cardstock also and put thin 3D foam tape behind it wrapped Gold Embellishing Thread around and layered another foam tape under that to give it dimension.

Classic Summer Bash S1805 CTMH Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop

Today I would like to share with you my projects which features the Classic Summer Bash—May Stamp of the Month available exclusively throughout May 2018 for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75. 

Its been a tough week, I've been really sick with a head cold and my sister flew out to live in the UK from living with us for the last 2 years, as I'm writing this she is in the air. So I made a card for the Blog Hop and realised I still wasn't 100% well when I'd used next months Stamp of the Month instead of this one (YAY for being ready a month early for next month!). So I needed to make a new card. I used the new paper that was launched TODAY with the New Seasonal Expressions Catalogue. I LOVE this paper set that I've used is called Workshops Your Way® Beautiful Friendship Scrapbooking Kit. *Come back to us on the 20th May for our Beautiful Friendship Scrapbooking Kit Blog Hop to see more ideas!

I used the lovely Colour of the Year Bashful and white laced paper in this Beautiful Friendship  set and some vellum with spots (from next months National Scrapbooking Month papers) to stamp on with Black Memento™ Ink then I fussy cut it out with the Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors.

I stamped the straw onto White Daisy Cardstock with Smoothie Exclusive Inks™ and fussy cut that out too. To make the straw look more realistically coming from the jar, I sliced a cut into the "opening" of the jar so the straw appears to have the allusion of coming up out of the jar. I just used my scissors to slice a line but you could use your blade from the 12 inch trimmer. 

 Next I decided I needed to mat the pink lace with some more smoothie. I used one of the PML cards True Story and cut it down from 4x6 to 4x5.25 inches and then the pink lace was just under 3.75x5 inches on White Cards & Envelopes Value Pack.

To Finish it off I stamped Eat, Drink, Barbecue with the & underneath (I think its intended to be put next to the Drink for Eat, Drink & Barbecue) but I cut the "make a wish" banner from the top of one of the small 3x4 PML cards and added that to the card. So now it reads... Eat, Drink, Barbecue & Make a Wish. 

At the bottom I stamped some Juniper Exclusive Inks™ on some Juniper Cardstock for the leaf and fussy cut them out. 

When I adhered them all down, I used the white dots of the vellum jar to hide the adhesive. 

One sample is all I could manage this time, as I've got a second card made too for next month. I already have my one sample for next months stamp of the month so maybe I'll do a second or third in the next month :)

Birthday Time S1803 Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop

Today I would like to share with you my project which features the Birthday Time—March Stamp of the Month available exclusively throughout March 2018 for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75. 

This is a fabulous birthday stamp set for all birthdays either cards, invitations or pages to scrapbook your parties after they've happened. 

I saw the "SUPER Birthday PARTY" stamp set and I thought it teamed fantastically with the Super Girl Stamp + Thin Cuts that are on sale this month with all the Thin Cuts - Go to my consultant website HERE to see a list of ALL the stamps and thin cuts that are on special (even some older ones have made a re-appearance for this while stocks last super special Die-Namite Sale!!). 

This is the Super Girl stamp set that I loved (I bought both boy and girl versions of this stamp set & Thin cut bundles as I have a boy and girl). The WOW! thin cut was able to be used on the YAY! from the Stamp of the Month too, so its a total fit with these two sets.

I also used the Thin Cuts—Basic Circles for my card - this thin cut set is also on sale while stocks last in March 2018. 

 Below is the card I made for this blog hop. I stamped the words in Slate Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad (swivel case design), Tangerine Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad and Sapphire Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad. NB: I stamped my super girl in the sapphire thinking she'd be more blue but I could have stamped her in black and she might not have had a blue tinge to her skin tones. 

I coloured in the girl with shinHan Markers and the SUPER in shinHan Markers. I used Gold Glitter Paper on my White Cards & Envelopes Value Pack card. I am really addicted to glitter paper at the moment!! 

To adhere the glitter paper to the card I used Tombow® Permanent Adhesive and to adhere everything else I used 3D Foam Tape circles - for the super girl I used the thicker version 3-D Foam Dots and for the titles and circle I used Thin 3-D Foam Dots.

Make Waves Cardmaking Stamp + Thin Cuts

I made all the pages using the Making Wave Workshop Your Way kit but my photos aren't as nice as the Corporate ones. Only difference was with the left was that I didn't use the graduated paper because most of its hidden and I love it so I saved it for another project. 

I made a whole heap of cards for my Online Card Club using the leftover Making waves paper which is exclusive to those people who are registered to receive that so I can't show you those!!

Next I made my daughters birthday invitations using the Make Waves—Scrapbooking stamp set. I LOVE this Mermaid!! My daughter is having a sleepover party and we decided the mermaid looked like she was tired with her eyes shut so all we needed was a pillow. My sister hand-drew the pillows and wrote after the "You're invited to a Party" stamp set (which is a consultant only stamp set) she wrote "A sleepover party!" to match that stamp set. She also coloured in the mermaids all differently. 

She then stamped the bubbles in a few generations. 

After we had the bases - stamped and coloured in 3.75 x 5 inches white daisy. Using ShinHan markers. 

I cut the Gold Glitter Paper (currently on SPECIAL in Feb), 

To save my glitter paper, I cut the middle out of it - so I can save it up and use later. 

I used my White Cards & Envelopes Value Pack and Tombow® Permanent Adhesive to stick it all together and then Glue Dots® Mini Dots to adhere the mermaids bit to the glitter.
