Colour Dare #516 Sangria, Flamingo & Carolina

#CTMHVandra,Colour dare, Flamingo, Pink, blue, Sangria, happy birthday, cardmaking, Succulent, Succa, D2077, stamping,
Our Colour Dare Challenge for #516 is a 3 colours that you need to use (Sangria, Flamingo & Carolina), plus Black, White, Greys & silver which are free to use. When you are creating for more than one challenge please make sure your project meets our requirement. Most importantly - have fun!  Go to the link for Colour Dare #516 and add your entry. When you submit your entry you must provide a link to your post, not just to your blog in general. There are LOTS of ways to enter either a Blog Post or post to an online gallery (Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram etc), more details on the Colour Dare Blog post (see link above).

I was inspired by the 3 colour panel so with limited time I did a super simple card using the 3 colours as a basis.
The colours Sangria & Carolina have officially retired but you can still get cardstock in those colours and some other products that aren't sold out yet (but don't delay they'll be gone for good soon). Plus we all know our stashes are full of things like this.

I used Sangria CardstockFlamingo Cardstock and Carolina Cardstock I started by cutting them to 4.25 inches long and 2 inches wide and then cut off a sliver of each so they fit (like an 8th or a 16th at a time). I can't work out fractions so looking at my finished item I thought they were the same width but the flamingo is slightly thinner. I folded down the corner to match the picture.

I used Silver Shimmer Trim along the bottom to finish it off. I pulled out my recent purchase of Succa for YouStamp set for the gorgeous Happy Birthday sentiment and stamped with

Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad on White Daisy Cardstock scrap. Then I dovetailed it.

A pretty simple and effective card modelled on our Colour Dare Design that wasn't even intended as an inspiration.

Colour Dare #444 Tic Tac Toe - You are Enough

Our Colour Dare Challenge for #444 is a Tic-Tac-Toe of the You are Enough papers that are only available during May 2021. They're really stunning papers. You can use these colours plus black and white for this challenge. When you are creating for more than one challenge please make sure your project meets our requirement. Most importantly - have fun!  Go to the link for Colour Dare #444 and add your entry. When you submit your entry you must provide a link to your post, not just to your blog in general. There are LOTS of ways to enter either a Blog Post or post to an online gallery (Facebook, Pinterest, SplitCoast Stampers, or Instagram).
So join in TODAY!!

I LOVE this You are Enough special for National Scrapbooking Month. The colours of the papers including Rose Gold are so stunning but hard to photograph.

To make my card I pulled out the Make It from Your Heart Volume 5. The pattern called for 1.25 inch blocks in Sangria Cardstock so I added a slightly smaller block of the glacier and rose gold hexagon paper from the You Are Enough Product Bundle
#CTMHVandra, CTMH You are Enough, Colour dare, rose gold, TicTacToe, Sangria, Congratulations, National Scrapbooking Month, Make it from Your Heart,
Did the stamping in Black ink on white daisy cardstock and matted again on Sangria cardstock. Finished off the card with the stickers of the branches from the sticker sheet and to make them stick up a little I put Anti-static Pouch on half of the branch. The Congratulations stamp is an old retired stamp set and I used thin 3D foam tape to have a bit of dimension on the title.

Classic Summer Bash S1805 CTMH Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop

Welcome to our Australasian Blog Hop. A small group of us have been creating with the "Classic Summer Bash—May Stamp of the Month" Stamp set. If you have arrived here from Wendy Hopper -Expressions of the Heart then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas and eventually you'll come right back here to where you started.

Today I would like to share with you my projects which features the Classic Summer Bash—May Stamp of the Month available exclusively throughout May 2018 for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75.
#CTMHBeautifulFriendship, Classic Summer Bash, SOTM, blog hop, Summer, Jar, Fruit, Drinks, lemonade, Sangria, party, Birthday, PML, vellum, cardmaking, #CTMHVandra, S1805, Vandra,
Its been a tough week, I've been really sick with a head cold and my sister flew out to live in the UK from living with us for the last 2 years, as I'm writing this she is in the air. So I made a card for the Blog Hop and realised I still wasn't 100% well when I'd used next months Stamp of the Month instead of this one (YAY for being ready a month early for next month!). So I needed to make a new card. I used the new paper that was launched TODAY with the New Seasonal Expressions Catalogue. I LOVE this paper set that I've used is called Workshops Your Way® Beautiful Friendship Scrapbooking Kit. *Come back to us on the 20th May for our Beautiful Friendship Scrapbooking Kit Blog Hop to see more ideas!

I used the lovely Colour of the Year Bashful and white laced paper in this Beautiful Friendship  set and some vellum with spots (from next months National Scrapbooking Month papers) to stamp on with Black Memento™ Ink then I fussy cut it out with the Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors.

I stamped the straw onto White Daisy Cardstock with Smoothie Exclusive Inks™ and fussy cut that out too. To make the straw look more realistically coming from the jar, I sliced a cut into the "opening" of the jar so the straw appears to have the allusion of coming up out of the jar. I just used my scissors to slice a line but you could use your blade from the 12 inch trimmer.

Next I decided I needed to mat the pink lace with some more smoothie. I used one of the PML cards True Story and cut it down from 4x6 to 4x5.25 inches and then the pink lace was just under 3.75x5 inches on White Cards & Envelopes Value Pack.

#CTMHBeautifulFriendship, Classic Summer Bash, SOTM, blog hop, Summer, Jar, Fruit, Drinks, lemonade, Sangria, party, Birthday, PML, vellum, cardmaking, #CTMHVandra, S1805, Vandra,

To Finish it off I stamped Eat, Drink, Barbecue with the & underneath (I think its intended to be put next to the Drink for Eat, Drink & Barbecue) but I cut the "make a wish" banner from the top of one of the small 3x4 PML cards and added that to the card. So now it reads... Eat, Drink, Barbecue & Make a Wish.

At the bottom I stamped some Juniper Exclusive Inks™ on some Juniper Cardstock for the leaf and fussy cut them out.

When I adhered them all down, I used the white dots of the vellum jar to hide the adhesive.

One sample is all I could manage this time, as I've got a second card made too for next month. I already have my one sample for next months stamp of the month so maybe I'll do a second or third in the next month :)

Remember this great stamp set Classic Summer Bash—May Stamp of the Month is only available throughout May from my website or from your Close to My Heart Consultant. If you don't have a Close to My Heart Consultant feel free to contact me either on this blog or via my website HERE

Sangria Australasian Blog Hop

Welcome to our Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop featuring this months feature paper pack called SangriaWe have all been creating with the NEW Sangria Products that have Britt McDonald - Crafty Connections then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas and eventually you'll come right back here to where you started.

To start this months theme I decided to make a Christmas card using Twinkle – October 2015 Stamp of the Month and the Workshops on the Go® Sangria Scrapbooking Kit

PS. If you want to view the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop that went live 1st October, go all the way through the Sangria Blog hop and then get back here and click the Twinkle blog hop (see link here).

I cut out a buckle from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge on page 66 at 4 inches in 12" X 12" Black Cardstock.

I picked the red variegated paper from the Sangria Paper Packet
its the back of the zig zag strip and it has patches of colour variations. I LOVE this paper.

I stamped in Pomegranate Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad the words from Twinkle – October 2015 Stamp of the Month Noel, Peace and Joy. I also cut a sheet full of cricut shapes when I made my card for the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop so I used one of the  24 that I had fit on my mat without using Cricut Craftroom. *Note: If I had used Cricut Craftroom I could have fit heaps more on my 12" X 12" White Daisy Cardstock page. I stored the extra's in the envelope with the Twinkle – October 2015 Stamp of the Month and whenever I use it I have extras there.

When I finished the stamping of those bits I thread the Black Shimmer Trim through the black buckle. Hint: I threaded it with the backing still attached and then removed it while it was in place, it took a bit of threading with the clear backing but it was easier than threading the sticking part.

Happy with how it turned out. I used Pomegranate Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad for the frame and Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad for the Merry Everything.

This is my latest card buffet card using the Workshops on the Go® Sangria Scrapbooking Kit and the CUTEST stamp set in the world Animal Greetings which is the Operation Smile Fundraising Stamp set. $7 from every sale of this stamp go towards the Operation Smile Charity who provide life-changing operations for children with Cleft pallet and Cleft Lip surgeries in third world countries.

Thanks so much for dropping by to check out my latest projects. I'm really interested to hear what you think about it, so I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop on our Australasian Blog Hop which is Anne Patterson - Mummy You Made This?

Come back to see me again soon.
