Colour Dare Challenge #326 Black White and splash of colour

This week's challenge Colour Dare #326 is All the colours of our Oh What Fun Paper Pack.

Our Color Challenge this week is to use Only "Black and White" with no additional neutrals; however, you get to choose "A Splash of One Accent Color".  Most importantly - have fun! 

I put a black base, with white heart embossed paper down the centre. I stamped Happy Birthday with 
Bluebird Inks™ Stamp. Lined the white title with black cardstock and then stuck that on Thin 3-D Foam Tape. The Happy Birthday is from Card Captions—January Stamp of the Month A fabulous stamp set for cardmakers. 

Then I backed it with Bluebird Cardstock. The Flower with thin cut from the Budding Peony Stamp + Thin Cuts Then I added that on with 3-D Foam Tape.

Colour Dare Challenge #324 - TicTacToe with Oh What Fun

My card below is a simple card I made using all scraps of Oh What Fun paper. Plus a white cut out using the Thin Cuts—Decorative Borders. I really love the note paper border, it looks like real torn off notepaper. The "Just a Note" title is from this months Stamp of the Month called Card Captions—January Stamp of the Month A fabulous stamp set for cardmakers.

I love these Oh What Fun Felt Shapes and I wanted to do something special with them. I still had some 'Tis the Season Snowflakes left from last month and have seen a number of decorations being made with them. So I collected my ingredients from Workshops Your Way® Oh What Fun Scrapbooking Kit ... the Felt shapes, the Snowflakes, Raspberry Baker's Twine and some Clover Cardstock cut with Thin Cuts—Stitched Circles

I cut the clover circles with the light side up because I wanted the dark green to show through the holes in the snowflakes. From the back they'll also look neat with the stitched ring on the light side. I stuck the Raspberry bakers twine to the 3D foam adhesive. Put a bit extra Tombow® Permanent Adhesive to make sure they stuck to the ribbon and the circles.

So quick and easy to put together as the felt are stickers so they just stuck onto the front of the snowflakes with the dark green clover cardstock cirlces showing through the holes and the larges 4 felt shapes. So cute. So easy and they look great on our Christmas Tree (although I may use them as gifts on cards but I'm not sure yet). 

Best part is that I've still got 4 small felt shapes to use on other projects.

Colour Dare Challenge #322 Bold and Bright

 For those of you who are looking for open Challenges in December and you need to make a card for a special occasion (birthday, wedding, anniversary, thank you and/or holiday card (if you still need one) etc … this is the Challenge for you! 

You decide whether your project and will fit into one of these two colorchallenges: "Bold and Bright" or "Soft and Pastel" … these challenges will be open until December 30th.  So have some fun with our "Anything Goes" theme.  I was part of Bold and Bright so I made a Santa.

Candy Cane Alphabet S1812 CTMH Australasian Stamp of the Month

Welcome to our Australasian Blog Hop. Today I would like to share with you my projects which feature the Candy Cane Alphabet—December Stamp of the Month available exclusively throughout December 2018 for $29.50 or for just $8.25 when you spend $82.50. 

This stamp set with the Stamp of the Month Discount is perfect to get TWO sets so you can have two of each letter, especially vowels :) I got myself two of these sets so I don't have to leave gaps and fill them in later. 

So I decided to do a Christmas Card and thought at First I would write "Merry Christmas" but that has 3 R's in it. So nope I only have two sets and I didn't want to leave gaps, I wanted to stamp all at once... I wanted one stamp and so decided on "HAPPY CHRISTMAS". 

I lined it up on my VersaMat™ the right way and then stuck my block on top. I made sure it was less than 5.5 inches (the width of the card and envelope set). 

 Once I was happy with the stamping on scrap paper with Candy Apple Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad. I stamped the Candy Apple onto 2.25 x 5.5 inch white cardstock. 

After I stamped the Happy Christmas with the Candy Cane Alphabet, I stamped the Holly and Christmas trees from Christmas Countdown stamp set with 

Candy Apple Ink and Fern Ink.

I cut 1x5.5 inch strips of the red check paper from 'Tis the Season Paper Packet 

and put them on the top and bottom of the card. Quite happy with how this turned out. Another easy to replicate Christmas card for the kids friends Christmas cards.

Colour Dare Challenge #320 - Kraft, New England Ivy & Candy Apple -

This week's challenge Color Dare #320 is Kraft, New England Ivy & Candy Apple. .

Guidelines on Neutrals:  White, Cream, Black, Gray, Kraft and Brown(s) are free to use.  Unless they're listed in the challenge then you need to use them.

As part of my series of quick and easy Christmas cards, I used my scraps to make this quick card. The scraps are all cut to 3.75 inches and vary in thickness. I pulled out 'Tis the Season —Cardmaking stamp to add an embellishment. 

I masked the flowers over the Merry Christmas to fit onto my 1.5 inch strip of Kraft cardstock in the middle of the card with Candy Apple Exclusive Inks™, and then I added Red Pearls.

Candy Apple Cardstock and some New England Ivy Green patterned paper from 'Tis the Season Paper Packet. All stuck onto White Daisy Card & Envelopes.

Shake Things Up! - CTMH Technique Blog Hop

I have to say how much I love Shaker Cards and Close to My Heart have made it SOooo easy for us now with the new Shaker Card foam and acetate windows. Plus we have the fabulous Thin Cut to make the windows and confetti for our Shaker Cards. I have made HEAPS of these kinds of cards and its a fairly new product.

We have also been working on a YouTube Video which I will post here to give you an idea of how to use the Shaker Card items. I haven't given much description in this blog post so you can watch the video and find out how we made some of these cards.
