Colour Dare #450 Peacock inspiration choose 3

#CTMHVandra, Colour dare, peacock, Distress Oxide, Rainbow, sunburst, Congratulations, thin cuts, embossing, cardmaking,

Our Colour Dare Challenge for #450 is a Choose at lease 3 colours from the inspiration video and you are free to use Black & White. When you are creating for more than one challenge please make sure your project meets our requirement. Most importantly - have fun!  Go to the link for Colour Dare #450 and add your entry. When you submit your entry you must provide a link to your post, not just to your blog in general. There are LOTS of ways to enter either a Blog Post or post to an online gallery (Facebook, Pinterest, SplitCoast Stampers, or Instagram).

I started with a peice of daisy white cardstock and embossed it with a star embossing folder and then used distress oxides - Mustard Seed, Peacock feathers and picked raspberry to make a rainbow blending them together.

Then I layered a blue card thin cut using the Sunburst thin cut. I stamped a Congrats on white daisy and matted it with the blue and cut into a pennant shape. I adhered with 3D foam tape.

Colour Dare #380 Tic-Tac-Toe

#CTMHVandra, #ctmhCelebrateToday, Colour Dare Challenge, color dare, TicTacToe, Love, Valentine, thinking of you, ocean, embossing folders, embossing, hearts, watercolour paint,

Our Colour Dare Challenge for #380 Tic-Tac-Toe which coordinates lovely with our new CTMH Celebrate Today Scrapbooking Workshop Kit. You are invited to participate in this challenge too. Go to the link for Colour Dare #380 and add your entry.

I used all the colours of the Celebrate today papers because I used that gorgeous zip strip with the coloured hearts. The main colour I used was Lagoon, with Mint bubbles paper and the heart sticker that is lagoon, mint and lemon.

The Lagoon Cardstock was embossed with a preview of the Under the Sea Embossing Folder that isn't available to order until the 1st of March. wa

The Hey You heart sticker is from the Celebrate Today Paper Packet + Sticker Sheet to finish it off, I sponged with black ink around the edge to give it a bit of definition sitting on the lagoon cardstock. The You Are Loved stickers are also from this set. To finish off I put a few Clear Sparkles.

This card could be used as a friendship card, a pick-me up card, sympathy card, thinking of you card, valentines day card, or to remind your children that you are proud of them and that they are loved. So many ideas for this one card.

#CTMHVandra, #ctmhCelebrateToday, Colour Dare Challenge, color dare, TicTacToe, Love, Valentine, thinking of you, ocean, embossing folders, embossing, hearts, watercolour paint,

To photograph my card I put it on the gorgeous watercolour paper from the paper pack (shown above). So pretty. I can't wait to use this paper on a Scrapbooking page (its 12x12 size but  phooto is cropped a little). I need some whiter lighting for my photos cause they always look a little creamy white.

Use the materials in this kit to create three coordinating scrapbook layouts.

I made a quick card using scraps from my favourite bricks paper from the Documented set. With the lovely floral paper. Then I used the stickers from the complements to add the hello typewriter and the bunch of flowers. Quick Simple, Effective and a lovely card to give a friend for a hello. I took the photo in the light so it looks a bit washed out, the dark grey charcoal colour is more prominent in real life.

Last Chance CTMH Annual Inspirations Australasian Blog Hop

Welcome to our Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop, we are all sharing our favourite things from the Annual Expressions Catalogue that is just about to finish up at the end of this month!! PANIC STATIONS... Last chance ordering!! Most of these things you won't be able to get after this month!! So many exciting new things are coming but so many things have to go to make room for the new things. Don't worry you can still get them if you are QUICK!

If you have arrived here from Doris Taylor Creative Inspirations then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas and eventually you'll come right back here to where you started.

Some of my favourite things that are retiring and that I love are the embossing folders and some of the shimmer trim (pink, blue, teal, bronze and purple). There are new and exciting embossing folders coming in the new catalogue but you need to get all the others before they're gone. There is a section on our websites that show Going Soon Products which is a great place to check out. The new catalogue has lots of new ribbons coming but no new shimmer trim, so hopefully we will get some next year, in the meantime I have been teaching my customers to paint their shimmer trim with watercolour paint.

The below gift card I made with one of the retiring embossing folders called - Quatrefoil Embossing Folder and my favourite retiring colour "Cotton Candy". A lot of the colours in the Adventure range are changing so many of those colours are retiring to make way for new vibrant colours.
The card is just a 4x4 square of 12" × 12" White Daisy Cardstock and then a pop up was cut, the 2x4 bit of 12" × 12" Cotton Candy Cardstock was embossed and then stuck on the front. I stuck the flowers on the top of the embossed card with 3-D Foam Tape. I painted with Watercolor Paints and Waterbrush—Small Round and Waterbrush—Medium Round.

The next card I made to show the beauty of the Circle Diffuser and the Scallop Embossing Folder. I demonstrated this at our recent retreat and everyone was rather impressed. I finished it off with some White & Gold Ribbon, a sentiment from Fairytale Birthday and some 12" × 12" Pacifica Cardstock. I used Memory Book Mini Glue Dots™ to adhere the ribbon to the white daisy cardstock.

At the retreat I also showed everyone some ideas using thin cuts (as per the first card) and the below little card was a favourite with Ornate Blossoms & Ornate Blossoms Thin Cuts coloured with ShinHan Markers (Thin Cuts aren't retiring for 1 more month). I finished my card off with retiring Shimmer trim x2. Every card or project needs BLING and Shimmer trim is the perfect accompaniment to any project!! The blue has unfortunately already retired but the Teal Shimmer Trim is still available until the end of this month. After telling everyone at the retreat that my favourite SHIMMER TRIM IS RETIRING (Nooooooooo!!!)... I did show them how to paint white shimmer trim with watercolour paints to get matching colours, but its more fiddly than just grabbing it and sticking it on!

This month is the LAST MONTH OF the Annual Expressions Catalogue. Go to my website or your consultants website to see all the exciting products available BEFORE THEY'RE GONE FOREVER!! (yes I'm still being dramatic - I don't want anyone to miss out!!!).

Thanks so much for dropping by to check out my latest project, I hope you get inspired. I'm really interested to hear what you think about it, so I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop on our Australasian Blog Hop which is Lauren Moore - CTMH Craftings.

Australasian December Stamp of the Month Blog Hop Candlelight Garden

Hello and welcome to our Stamp of the Month Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop. We have all been creating with "Candlelight Garden – December 2015 Stamp of the Month" Stamp set. If you have arrived here from   Shaunna Richards - Passionate About Pages then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas and eventually you'll come right back here to where you started.

Today I would like to share with you my two projects which features the Candlelight Garden – December 2015 Stamp of the Month
available exclusively throughout December for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75. I love this stamp set SOoo much.
I really love the Friend you're the Light in my life phrase. So I wanted to make a card with it. I had the Picture My Life™ White Pines Scrapbooking Program cards left from my last blog post and thought this card below made a lovely front of the card. To space it out I placed the stamps directly onto the PML card and then stuck the 2" X 6 1/2" My Acrylix® Block on the top.

I backed the Picture My Life™ White Pines Scrapbooking Program card with Black Cardstock and then used the Corner Rounder. I trimmed the 5 1/2" X 4 1/4" Colonial White Cards & Envelopes, with Coral Shimmer Trim and layered the PML card and black cardstock with 3-D Foam Tape.

To finish the card off I used Mini Stapler and Mini Staples. I love the mini staples so much I used them a little bit too much.

After I finished my card, I played some more. I just got myself a heat gun and Ranger™ Clear Super Fine Embossing Powder and Ranger™ White Super Fine Embossing Powder so I wanted to have a play.

I put VersaMark™ Ink  on the jar after I coloured it in and then put Ranger™ Clear Super Fine Embossing Powder over and heated it up.
Next I wanted to try some of the emboss-resist techniques I had seen on Pinterest so I played with the VersaMark™ Ink and Ranger™ White Super Fine Embossing Powder. After heating the embossing powder up I used Gypsy Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad with a Sponge Daubers.

Remember this great stamp set Candlelight Garden – December 2015 Stamp of the Month is only available throughout December from your Close to My Heart Consultant.

Thanks so much for dropping by to check out my latest projects, I hope you get to make a card this month too. I'm really interested to hear what you think about it, so I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop on our Australasian Blog Hop which is
