Colour Dare #448 Choose at least 3

#CTMHVandra, Colour dare, chemistry, b1485, retired, proton, positive, beaker, science, physics, 3D Foam, watercolour brushes, painting with ink, teacher, appreciation,

Our Colour Dare Challenge for #448 is a Choose at lease 3 colours from those above and you are free to use Black, White & Gold. When you are creating for more than one challenge please make sure your project meets our requirement. Most importantly - have fun!  Go to the link for Colour Dare #448 and add your entry. When you submit your entry you must provide a link to your post, not just to your blog in general. There are LOTS of ways to enter either a Blog Post or post to an online gallery (Facebook, Pinterest, SplitCoast Stampers, or Instagram).

So join in TODAY!!

To start this card I pulled out all the colours of ink that came to hand, which ended up being Almond, Charcoal, Desert Rose, and Sage. Then I pulled out the cardstock too.

My son asked me to make a card for his physics teacher who is going on long service leave so he needed a card TOMORROW...luckily I needed to create some artwork for Colour Dare Design Team. I remembered I had an old stamp set with science stuff on it and I checked my Evernote and it is called Positive Chemistry Everyday Life (B1485). I love having my stamps categorised. I don't have them all in there but its a work in progress.

RETIRED STAMP SET- Positive Chemistry Everyday Life (B1485).

The physics teacher was the Head of Learning Area (HOLA) for Science so we decided a bit of chemistry on the card would be okay too...

I decided to stamp three beakers in Charcoal Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad and then I used the other colours of ink to paint with the Medium Round Waterbrush. To get ink into the lid you press down on the ink while its closed and get some ink in the lid... then use your watercolour brush to pick up the ink and paint it onto the cardstock. I had used Charcoal Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad not a watercolour permanent ink so I knew it might bleed so I was careful and it did bleed a tiny bit. I was okay with that it made it look more watercoloured and kind of chemical look to the beakers... like oooh it might explode at any second that unknown chemical compound :)

Then I matted the white cardstock with charcoal cardstock (dark side) then I matted that with desert rose cardstock.

I used sage and almond ink to random stamp the edge of the white card base and then used 3D foam tape to raise the middle section up. I rotated the cell stamp and stamped on and off the card base to get a more organic look to the random stamping.

I hope you pull out some old stamps once in a while and use with your more modern colours and techniques.

Colour Dare #402 Monochromatic Blues

#CTMHVandra, monochromatic, color dare, Colour Dare Challenge, appreciation, You're the best, #ctmhaurora, Aurora, world, thin cuts, foam tape, 3D, scouts, thank you, cardmaking, Stamp of the Month, masking, gifts,

Our Colour Dare Challenge for #402 is Blue Monochromatic. Black, White, Silver and Neutrals are free to use. You are invited to participate in this challenge too. Go to the link for Colour Dare #402 and add your entry.

The card I made was for our Scout Leader who has done so much for our Scout Group during the lock-down stages within Western Australia. When we went back to Face-to-Face Scouting our Support Committee suggested a card to show our appreciation and our Scout Group Leader (my husband) commissioned me to make one... and by commissioned I mean "asked nicely for me to voluntarily make a card for no reimbursement". I was most happy to add my card making skills to gift this leader who has worked so hard for our youth.

I used the Aurora Paper Packet + Sticker Sheet plus the Aurora Cardmaking Kit (since sold out) with the banner and world thin cuts cut with Glacier CardstockPeacock Cardstock and White Daisy Cardstock

To adhere the globe to the circle thin cut, I used Dual-tip Permanent Glue Pen and then the rest I used either Tombow® Permanent Adhesive with some height mixture of 3-D Foam Tape & Thin 3-D Foam Tape.

The Title "You're the Best" is from June's Stamp of the Month and the "You Mean the World to me" stamp was from the Aurora Cardmaking stamp set. I masked the "me" off and used an alphabet stamp to add the word "US" to the end as it came from the group so I needed it to say "You mean the world to us!". I added the blue and peacock paper from the  Aurora Paper Packet + Sticker Sheet and then added some white Shimmer trim (this is retired but you can still get silver Shimmer Trim which would have also worked on this card). I cut the white shimmer trim in half with my Aluminum Cut Rail Paper Trimmer. To cut shimmer trim I acutally stuck it to the trimmer and then peeled it off again. You can see I didn't cut perfectly in half so I put the larger half on the bottom and the smaller half on the top to show the weighting.

All stuck onto a White Cards & Envelopes Value Pack card.

S1806 A Bushel & a Peck CTMH Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop

Welcome to our Australasian Blog Hop. A small group of us have been creating with the "A Bushel & a Peck—June Stamp of the Month" Stamp set. If you have arrived here from Lauren Moore- CTMH Craftings then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas and eventually you'll come right back here to where you started.

Today I would like to share with you my projects which features the A Bushel & a Peck—June Stamp of the Month available exclusively throughout June 2018 for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75.

This stamp set is the Cutest and everyone has been making lots of cards and pages using this cute little girl and the sweet apples.

The card below was the first card I made using a card template from the Make It from Your Heart™ Volume 4. I used Workshops Your Way® Beautiful Friendship Scrapbooking Kit for the base card with Bashful Glitter Paper as the edging. Then I cut the Thin Cuts—Basic Banners, and the title card with Bashful Cardstock. I stamped the title and apple with Black Memento™ Ink Pad on a Thin Cuts—Basic Circles. I then coloured in the apple with Shimmer Brush—Bashful for the apple and for the leaf I used the Willow Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad with Shimmer Brush—Clear as a paintbrush to make the leaf glittery green.

I went around the edge of the banner, the circle and the title backing with Marvy® Uchida® LePen™ Journaling Pen and  Black Memento™ Ink PadSticking it all together with Tombow® Permanent Adhesive and the title and circle with 3-D Foam Tape for a three dimensional look to the card.

This is the card I did last month when I mixed up my dates when I was unwell. Thankfully I'm all better and happily I'm well prepared for this months blog hop post.

The next card I did is a technique card as a sample for our next video for our sponging series "Cardmaking with Caroline & Vandra". Watch this blog for more news soon. You can subscribe to all the blog hop ladies in a similar way on their blogs too so you don't miss anything from anyone.

To start with I used Pansy Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad with Sponge Daubers Value Pack (12) to sponge some white daisy cardstock. Then I dropped some Glitter Shimmer Brush—Clear and Shimmer Brush—Bashful in dots onto the Pansy ink to create this lovely galaxy/ universe/ night-sky/ artwork/ random cloud of purple blobs.

After I'd let the inked and dropped shimmer paper dry, I backed it with Pansy Cardstock for the backing and the title. I stamped the title and little girl with Black Memento™ Ink Pad and then coloured the little girl & title in using Shin Han Markers. The title is from an older set so is in the clearance section of my website its called Prickly Pear Cardmaking Stamp + Thin Cuts currently reduced from $34.50  now $10.50. Its a great title for colouring in to match your paper or artworks and its only one of the stamps on that set.

I fussy cut the little girl out and stuck her on the card. The title was adhered with 3D Foam tape. Super happy with how she turned out and can't wait to film the video to explain it. I may updated this post to give a link HERE when its done.

Life In Pictures April SOTM Australasian Blog Hop

We have all been creating with "Life in Pictures—April 2016 Stamp of the MonthStamp set.  If you have arrived here from Doris Taylor Creative Inspirations then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas and eventually you'll come right back here to where you started.

Today I would like to share with you my project which features the Life in Pictures—April 2016 Stamp of the Month available exclusively throughout April 2016 for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75. This is a Camera Enthusiasts dream of a stamp set and is perfect for colouring in or painting with or like I have done, kept it black and white.

I pulled out my Workshops Your Way™ Penelope Scrapbooking Kit and cut two bases at 3.75 x 5 inch out of the Blue dots sheet of B&T paper using my SureCut™ Deluxe Craft Paper Trimmer.
Penelope Workshops Your Way kit
Penelope Paper Pack (inside the Workshops your way Kit)

Then I cut out one of the Picture My Life cards (the blue flowers card) which are 3x4 inches again using the SureCut™ Deluxe Craft Paper Trimmer. The two blues sort of blended together so I ran each of the edges of the two papers, over my Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad in a swiping motion and gave them some outlined definition.

I stamped the Large Camera on 12" X 12" White Daisy Cardstock and the title SMILE! from the Life in Pictures—April 2016 Stamp of the Month in Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad and fussy cut them out with my Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors.

Then I stamped the "You're Appreciated more than you know." stamp from the Australian Thanks stamp set in in Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad on 12" X 12" White Daisy Cardstock and fussy cut it out with my Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors.

I attached all the bits together with Duck® Easy Stick™ Adhesive
and I was really happy with the finished result.

I had cut two of the blue dots 3.75 x 5 inch paper from the Workshops Your Way™ Penelope Scrapbooking Kit so I made an extra card using a cricut cut out shape from the Cricut® Art Philosophy Collection that I had leftover from a previous project, cut from 12" X 12" White Daisy Cardstock. I had already fussy cut out the camera, with my Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors that I had stamped with Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad on 12" X 12" White Daisy Cardstock

To finish off the card I added the Black & Gold Ribbon that I adhered with Memory Book Mini Glue Dots™I added the lovely "You're appreciated more than you'll ever know." title from the Australian Thanks stamp set to the top of the card stamped in Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad directly on the blue patterned paper from Penelope.

Remember this great stamp set  Life in Pictures—April 2016 Stamp of the Month is only available throughout April from my website or from your Close to My Heart Consultant

Thanks so much for dropping by to check out my latest project, I hope you get inspired to create something with this Camera enthusiasts stamp set this month. I'm really interested to hear what you think about it, so I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop on our Australasian Blog Hop which is Shaunna Richards Passionate About Pages.
