Colour Dare #514 Inspirational Image

#CTMHVandra, Colour Dare Challenge, Distress Oxide, thank you, thin cuts, color dare, sponging, ranger distress oxide inks, thanks, cards, cardmaking,

Our Colour Dare Challenge for #514 is an inspirational image that you need to choose at least 3 of the colours pictured, plus Black, White & Gold which are free to use. When you are creating for more than one challenge please make sure your project meets our requirement. Most importantly - have fun!  Go to the link for Colour Dare #514 and add your entry. When you submit your entry you must provide a link to your post, not just to your blog in general. There are LOTS of ways to enter either a Blog Post or post to an online gallery (Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram etc), more details on the Colour Dare Blog post (see link above).

I decided the blue in the water was very similar to the Close to My Heart colour Harbour so I pulled out some Harbour Cardstock. I also noted in the recent flash sale that there was still some of the A Big Thank You Thin Cuts available (now they are very limited and will be sold out soon, so go to my website ASAP if you want to order one). I cut a bit of cardstock into 4.25 wide by 12 inches then cut in half so 2 bits 6 inches tall and 4.25 wide (but the thin cut is thinner than the whole card front so I could have probably cut a 4inch strip). I layered both bits of Harbour and ran it thru my Big Shot once but cut two out.

I sponged them with Mini Ink Blending Tool x3 (for ease of blending.. why not if you have enough might as well use enough).

#CTMHVandra, Colour Dare Challenge, Distress Oxide, thank you, thin cuts, color dare, sponging, ranger distress oxide inks, thanks, cards, cardmaking,

On my first one I did 3 spots of peacock first and then filled in with the lighter colour. On the second One (on the left), I did yellow and orange in diagonal stripes in the centre and peacock on the outside.

#CTMHVandra, Colour Dare Challenge, Distress Oxide, thank you, thin cuts, color dare, sponging, ranger distress oxide inks, thanks, cards, cardmaking,

Then I sprayed with water and dripped water onto the distress oxides to give it the water look. I was in a hurry so dabbed off the water with a tissue.

#CTMHVandra, Colour Dare Challenge, Distress Oxide, thank you, thin cuts, color dare, sponging, ranger distress oxide inks, thanks, cards, cardmaking,

Then I overlaid the A Big Thank You Thin Cuts  in Harbour Cardstock and it created a quick and effective card. I did think I could put some bling on but I was happy with how it turned out without. Using the sponging techniques it was really easy to create various cards quickly and easily with just varying the distress oxide ink colours. A simple and effective card. Great for replicating for a big event where you need to create LOTS of thankyous.

#CTMHVandra, Colour Dare Challenge, Distress Oxide, thank you, thin cuts, color dare, sponging, ranger distress oxide inks, thanks, cards, cardmaking,
I created this distressing (above) first but the Thank you is not standing out as much as the 2nd one (below). I like the blue on the corners and the bright middle.

There is lots you can do with stamping, colouring and masking.
I challenge you to make a card and post it to a friend who is in isolation... if you can't get out at the moment. Make and write cards ready for when you can get out to post them. Hey you can even start your Christmas cards early!

the Stamp set is called O-fish-ally Awesome—April Stamp of the MonthO-fish-ally Awesome (S2004) is only available during April, 2020.  Full Australian retail price is $34 but you can have this gorgeous set for just $9 when accompanied by an $80 order.

at 3.45 x 5 inches. Then I used Black ink to ink the edges of the striped paper. I stamped the fish and the title on a circle with black ink and sponged with a sponge dauber with Canary yellow ink around the edge and along the middle to get some texture. I added the shell and the two heart stickers from the Seas the Day Paper Packet + Sticker Sheet. (I did ink the edge of the bottom heart to see if it could stand out better) with the blue on grey.

#ctmhDocumented, #CTMHVandra, Documented, camera, craftiness, typewriter, hearts, Ribbon, wooden, complements, adhesive-backed, Eggplant, peacock, smile, Birthday, scrapbooking, cardmaking, cards,

This is the most amazing set for all my crafty friends. I Love crafting, Craft today do housework tomorrow, Craftiness is Happiness, I craft so hard I sweat glitter... then some positive uplifting stuff like Do what you love and Enjoy the Small Stuff, Plus the typewriter and the camera. Perfect for every craft room, scrapbooker and stamper or cardmaker.

My first card I made using the "Enjoy the Small Stuff" and Typewriter that I stamped with Peacock Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad on white cardstock. Then I matted that on 12" × 12" Peacock Cardstock cut down to 4x4 inches (the dark side). I LOVE the colour Peacock as its been really versatile, in so many of the packs we've had in the last few months.

My most favourite paper of the Workshops Your Way® Documented Scrapbooking Kit
is the white brick wall paper. I backed the card almost the whole way on the white card and added the peacock spot ribbon from the Enchantment Ribbon Pack to the bottom of the card.
#ctmhDocumented, #CTMHVandra, Documented, camera, craftiness, typewriter, hearts, Ribbon, wooden, complements, adhesive-backed, Eggplant, peacock, smile, Birthday, scrapbooking, cardmaking, cards,

The next card I did was using the Eggplant Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad and stamped the camera all over the white cardstock. Then I cut it down a little and added another piece of white only slightly larger so it had just a small white edge. Then I added the purple spots paper from the Documented paper pack at 4 x 5.25 inches. I added stripe of the purple over the top of the stamped cameras and added the 3D adhesive-backed wooden words "Smile" from the Documented Titles.

Highlight Reel S1807 Stamp of the Month CTMH Australasian Blog Hop

Welcome to our Australasian Blog Hop. A small group of us have been creating with the "Highlight Reel—July Stamp of the Month" Stamp set. If you have arrived here from Doreen Watkins then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas and eventually you'll come right back here to where you started.

Today I would like to share with you my projects which features the Highlight Reel—July Stamp of the Month available exclusively throughout July 2018 for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75Please note that prices do not include GST. Beginning 1 July 2018, 10% GST will be added to your order at checkout.
#CTMHVandra, #storybyStacy, Story by Stacy, Rainbow, bullet journalling, journalling, music, musical, cards, travel, 4x4, Reel, Highlight Reel, S1807, stripes, storytelling, Birthday, scrapbooking, icons, Vandra,
This cute little set is perfect for adding little titles or icons to your scrapbooking, journalling, bullet journals, or cards. I used it for a mini scrapbook kit called Story by Stacy™ Story Starter Workshop Kit—Stripes
#CTMHVandra, #storybyStacy, Story by Stacy, Rainbow, bullet journalling, journalling, music, musical, cards, travel, 4x4, Reel, Highlight Reel, S1807, stripes, storytelling, Birthday, scrapbooking, icons, Vandra,
I got one of these at our Convention and while there decided to do an album for my sister who's moved to the UK recently. I purchased a second one to have a copy for myself at home, for the kids to look at and for my to show off to everyone how cute these little albums are. I don't want to share the whole album online because it is private for my sisters birthday but I wanted to show a few pages I did using these cute little icons from this months stamp of the month.

There are some great instructions inside the Story Starter kit to make this album and I worked on it from the story before the photos.
The Album is called "What we know and love about DAENA" for her Birthday in June (it may be arriving a few days late as it hasn't arrived yet and her birthday was the 25th June - it will be worth the wait I promise DM).

I knew Daena loves music and how fortuitous this set has MUSIC NOTES (This is so handy for me because both my children are learning instruments, so this tiny stamp will get a workout), it will make a cute bullet point for journalling on the big scrapbook pages and it makes a cute addition to the smaller pages or cards (especially cards to thank the music teachers at the end of the year!).

Watch the short video below for how Story by Stacy little 4x4 sized albums and story starter kit work.

Once I had determined I wanted to write about Music I used the back of the white card to stamp Heather Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad all down the side of the card (x2), the other side has lines. You can see that I ran off the bottom with a bit of scrap so I could get a single note down there and have the corner all stamped up.

#CTMHVandra, #storybyStacy, Story by Stacy, Rainbow, bullet journalling, journalling, music, musical, cards, travel, 4x4, Reel, Highlight Reel, S1807, stripes, storytelling, Birthday, scrapbooking, icons, Vandra,

Due to the fact that this little album is travelling from Australia to the UK I wanted to make it as light as possible, so I stamped and wrote on both sides of the cards. I have HEAPS of cards left over because the kit is designed to have one bit of card for each side and gives you a whole set as a practice set (I only practiced a few pages so have LOTS of cards left so I can use them in other ways! yay!!). I was happy with how it turned out and I don't think you can see thru it (unless you hold it up to the light). It ended up weighing less than 100 grams, so worth all the weight reductions.

#CTMHVandra, #storybyStacy, Story by Stacy, Rainbow, bullet journalling, journalling, music, musical, cards, travel, 4x4, Reel, Highlight Reel, S1807, stripes, storytelling, Birthday, scrapbooking, icons, Vandra,

The end result above, after writing on it was the above (you can't see anything from the page before).

The next icon I knew I had to use was the little plane - as you can see from the below pic I ended up doing a couple of placements for the plane. I ended up liking the bottom one better so I sent that one in my sisters album. She loves to Travel so this plane is the perfect for the travel page of her album.

I had plenty of cards to re-stamp them but I decided it didn't matter if our two albums were slightly different, because they are each UNIQUE.
#CTMHVandra, #storybyStacy, Story by Stacy, Rainbow, bullet journalling, journalling, music, musical, cards, travel, 4x4, Reel, Highlight Reel, S1807, stripes, storytelling, Birthday, scrapbooking, icons, Vandra,

I had so much fun making this little album and finding photos to fit them. Some of the pages I did a collage prints and got 4 photos in the space.  I would recommend everyone do one of these tiny albums of things you know and love about your family or friends. I'm sure it will become a treasured keepsake. Plus the Highlight Reel is the perfect stamp set to accompany it.

I've been making loads of things with this paper packet and its really cute. The sentiments are sweet also in the Gimme Some Sugar Cardmaking Stamp + Thin Cuts. I am at our CTMH Craft Camp typing this on my laptop.
One thing I did with this set was that I LOVE the wooden look Paper in the Gimme Some Sugar Paper Packet. In the Workshop your way kit you use the back of it with pink spots as your base (not even using the wooden side)... so I went looking for Paper that gave a similar look and feel while keeping my wood for another project. Happy to say pink dots from the Whimsy Fundamental Paper Packet gives a similar look and I'm happily substituting it out. You're welcome ;)

Now I have two sheets of Wooden look paper for another project. YAY!!!

After I'd finished my pages I had lots of complements and the PML cards left over so I made some cards. The card is the PML card that I cut down from 4x6 to 4x5.25 inches. Then I added a strip of green gingham and the yellow zip strip I cut in half and added around it. I cut the thin cut rolling pin and then stamped the Happy Birthday from the
Stargazer Cardmaking Stamp + Thin Cutsit fits pretty good inside the rolling pin. I used 3D foam tape to adhere on the angle.

The card below is some 4x5.25
Kraft Cardstock with the Just Roll with it PML 3x4 sized. A scrap of 12" × 12" Peacock Cardstock with the circular complements and some sneak peek  Documented Dots in Peacock (coming from 1st May).

#CTMHGimmeSomeSugar, Birthday, cooking, flowers, Gimme Some Sugar, happy birthday, pages, peacock, sugar, cardmaking, cards, PML, Vandra,

My favourite colour from this paper packet is peacock (see below for why I love it). The t-shirt I was wearing says "Everything will be okay". Yep. It matches this set perfectly. This is me at our Camp doing my blog :) Peacock Cardstock is my new favourite paper - its featured in Gimme Some Sugar, The National Scrapbook papers in May and the upcoming Documented paper pack being released in May.
