Colour Dare #474 Choose three

#CTMHVandra, Colour dare, Love story, #ctmhlovestory, Black & White, Colouring, triblend markers, cardmaking, stamping, Wedding, colour matching,
Our Colour Dare Challenge for #474 is a choose at least 3 of the above coloursyou are free to use Black, White, Gold & Copper. When you are creating for more than one challenge please make sure your project meets our requirement. Most importantly - have fun!  Go to the link for Colour Dare #474 and add your entry. When you submit your entry you must provide a link to your post, not just to your blog in general. There are LOTS of ways to enter either a Blog Post or post to an online gallery (Facebook, Pinterest, SplitCoast Stampers, or Instagram).

I chose Papaya, Avocado and Harbour. I pulled out the Love Story Paper Packet + Sticker Sheet (Black) with that gorgeous black and white flowers and decided to colour it. Its a "wedding" pack with the stickers but without the stickers its a great every use paper pack and great for colouring.
#CTMHVandra, Colour dare, Love story, #ctmhlovestory, Black & White, Colouring, triblend markers, cardmaking, stamping, Wedding, colour matching,

I cut it to 3.75x 5 inches and I grabbed out the Close to My Heart guide that shows the CTMH colours of cardstock and the Triblend Markers equivalent. So the avocado is Alpine Green TriBlend™ Marker -light and Dull Green TriBlend™ Marker - medium x3. (see pic below)

FYI: Contact me if you'd like a copy of the PDF of the cardstock matching CTMH cardstock with the Triblend Markers as shown below (its 3 pages and you cut a 1 inch circle of cardstock and then colour in with triblend markers to make the matching colours).

#CTMHVandra, Colour dare, Love story, #ctmhlovestory, Black & White, Colouring, triblend markers, cardmaking, stamping, Wedding, colour matching,
Unfortunately the guide hasn't got the new colours in yet so I pulled out the triblend marker colours to find the closest to the Papaya (which is new).

#CTMHVandra, Colour dare, Love story, #ctmhlovestory, Black & White, Colouring, triblend markers, cardmaking, stamping, Wedding, colour matching,
I decided Coral TriBlend™ Marker was closest and used those three colours to colour in the petals and flowers.

Note: The darker coral pen isn't a good match (too dark) so I only used the lightest coral and I covered that first one up with the cardstock and thanks title.

#CTMHVandra, Colour dare, Love story, #ctmhlovestory, Black & White, Colouring, triblend markers, cardmaking, stamping, Wedding, colour matching,

To finish off the card I cut a peice of  Harbour Cardstock at 4x5.25 inches and an off-cut strip leftover which is about half an inch ish. Then I stamped the THANKS with Daisy Alphabet stamps using Papaya Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad on White Daisy Cardstock  and trimmed it to size and then matted it in Harbour Cardstock

All attached to a White Cards & Envelopes Value Pack card with a white edge.

Colour Dare #456 Colour Wheel Complementary Colours

#CTMHVandra, Colour dare, gold foil, special, glitter, stitched thin cuts, hearts, #ctmhlovely, colour wheel, #ctmhStarsandSparklers, sponging, retiring, Birthday, Wedding, Anniversary, color dare,

Our Colour Dare Challenge for #456 is an Colour wheel complementary colours (opposite sides of the colour wheel), you are free to use Black, White, neutrals and gold. When you are creating for more than one challenge please make sure your project meets our requirement. Most importantly - have fun!  Go to the link for Colour Dare #456 and add your entry. When you submit your entry you must provide a link to your post, not just to your blog in general. There are LOTS of ways to enter either a Blog Post or post to an online gallery (Facebook, Pinterest, SplitCoast Stampers, or Instagram).

I decided to do a Green and Red colour wheel opposites. I had some red colour striped paper leftover from Stars & Sparklers Bulk Paper Packet and some green scraps from Lovely Paper Packet + Sticker Sheet plus I pulled out the Gold Foil Patterns Paper Packet and put a strip on the top of the card front from the White Cards & Envelopes Value Pack.

Scrap strip of green Lovely paper (retiring soon)

Small part of gold glitter foil paper (retiring soon)

The red in the Stars and Sparklers is scarlet and I didn't have any scarlet ink so I did some colour matching of other reds in my retiring inks. I also tried the Candied Apple Distress Oxide™ Ink Pad but it was too orange-based for Scarlett. I found that Cranberry was the closest to Scarlet (not exact but close enough). I used the old cranberry to ink the edges of the whole card, then I cut a white daisy Stitched Square Frames Thin Cuts
and sponged all that plus edges of a pre-cut white daisy heart that was in my white scraps.

#CTMHVandra, Colour dare, gold foil, special, glitter, stitched thin cuts, hearts, #ctmhlovely, colour wheel, #ctmhStarsandSparklers, sponging, retiring, Birthday, Wedding, Anniversary, color dare,
I also found a pre-cut circle in Gold Glitter Paper to place inside the square and used 3D foam tape to adhere the heart to the glitter paper.

I stamped an old sentiment from an old stamp set and cut the white daisy very fine and adhered it directly to the heart.

I'm sad to see so many of my favourite things go from the annual catalogue but I'm excited to see new things coming 1st September!!

Purposeful Plastic - CTMH Technique Blog Hop

#CTMHVandra, #ctmhDocumented, Documented, blog hop, Flip Flap, Wedding, cardmaking, wooden, PML, picture my life, stamping, shimmer trim, Workshops Your Way,

This Purposeful Plastic CTMH Technique Blog Hop will be incorporating Flip Flaps, Pocket Plus Pages/Plus in our artwork in a creative and fun way to show their valuable uses. This is my first time joining this Technique blog hop group and I'm very happy to be part of it because its an international group and I am in Australia, with lots of my sister consultants in this blog hop in the US and Canada.  If you have arrived here from Kimberly Bower then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas for using and eventually you'll come right back here to where you started.

For my artwork I decided to use Flip Flaps™ Memory Protectors™ 3" × 4"
and I used the side fold flip flap. I used the PML cards from the Workshops Your Way® Documented Scrapbooking Kit or the Documented Paper PacketThe stamp I used is from the Workshops Your Way® Sweet Friends Cardmaking Kit which is also in the CTMH Documented range.

#CTMHVandra, #ctmhDocumented, Documented, blog hop, Flip Flap, Wedding, cardmaking, wooden, PML, picture my life, stamping, shimmer trim, Workshops Your Way,

I stamped the "Wishing you the" and "Today & always" titles in Black and the "best" in New England Ivy Exclusive Inks™ Stamp PadThe leaves in the New England Ivy and the Flowers in Eggplant Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad I stamped upside down on the Details PML 3x4 card and to hide the "details" I covered it with Gold Shimmer Trim.

I really love the double doors PML 3x4 card and that was to be my front for the card. The Green diamond paper is from the Documented paper pack and then I stuck the 3x4 Flip Flap onto the 4 x 5.25 inch card front on the White Cards & Envelopes Value Pack card. I cut a 3x4 piece of the purple spot paper from the Documented paper to put on the back of the door inside the flip flap. Then I lined up very carefully the stamped sentiment PML card (pictured above) and stuck it over the top of the plastic flap adhesive and the backing paper.

#CTMHVandra, #ctmhDocumented, Documented, blog hop, Flip Flap, Wedding, cardmaking, wooden, PML, picture my life, stamping, shimmer trim, Workshops Your Way,

The above picture shows the card front with the flip flap closed.
#CTMHVandra, #ctmhDocumented, Documented, blog hop, Flip Flap, Wedding, cardmaking, wooden, PML, picture my life, stamping, shimmer trim, Workshops Your Way,

This picture shows the card opened and the video underneath shows how it opens and shuts.

I think it would make a great wedding or Engagement card as the door symbolises going opening the door to a new life.

Thanks so much for dropping by to check out my latest project idea. I'm really interested to hear what you think about my flip flap door card, so I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop on our Technique Blog Hop which is Melissa Robinson I hope you leave a lovely comment on all the blog posts and come back around to mine. See you again soon.

Colour Your Life S1804 Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop

Welcome to our Australasian Blog Hop. A small group of us have been creating with the "Color Your Life—April Stamp of the Month" Stamp set. If you have arrived here from Georgia O’Shea - Georgia Creates then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas and eventually you'll come right back here to where you started.

Today I would like to share with you my projects which features the Color Your Life—April Stamp of the Month available exclusively throughout April 2018 for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75.
As April is the Month that Close to My Heart features Gimme Some Sugar Scrapbooking KitI made up all the pages and with the scraps and some of the cards and then I used the design from the Kit but changed it up a little..
Stamp of the Month, Gimme Some Sugar, #CTMHGimmeSomeSugar, Celebrate, flowers, hearts, cork, gingham, hearts, pearls, kindness, Kind, Thankful, PML, Host Rewards, complements, floral, celebration, Birthday, Wedding, Vandra, CTMHVandra,
This is the optional cards in the kit that I got the cutting guide from.

This is the pattern using the Celebrate from the Stamp of the Month. I decorated it with the sticker from the Gimme Some Sugar Complements and the cork hearts from the Gimme Some Sugar Cork ShapesI stamped the Celebrate in Black ink.

Stamp of the Month, Gimme Some Sugar, #CTMHGimmeSomeSugar, Celebrate, flowers, hearts, cork, gingham, hearts, pearls, kindness, Kind, Thankful, PML, Host Rewards, complements, floral, celebration, Birthday, Wedding, Vandra, CTMHVandra,

Then I flipped the paper over (from green check to the pink flowers) and rotated it to be a landscape version. I also added some Peacock cardstock underneath. I stamped the always and put it on 3D foam tape. I also stamped the stitching looking stamp along the bottom of the celebrate and embellished with the flower sticker from Gimme Some Sugar Complements and the Pink PearlsI really loved the simple use of the pattern in different ways makes it looks so different.

The last card I made was below, I used one of the 4x6 picture my life cards and made it into a smaller card 4 x 5.25 size by slicing it and removing a section in the middle.

Stamp of the Month, Gimme Some Sugar, #CTMHGimmeSomeSugar, Celebrate, flowers, hearts, cork, gingham, hearts, pearls, kindness, Kind, Thankful, PML, Host Rewards, complements, floral, celebration, Birthday, Wedding, Vandra, CTMHVandra,

I was going to make it a landscape card and then decided to do a portrait card.
Then I added some half inch strips (one zip and one cardstock) to the top of the So Kind that I stamped with Black Memento ink. The S and O were from the Hostess Reward Stamp (featured in the Seasonal Expressions catalogue). I embellished with stickers (hearts and flowers) from the Gimme Some Sugar Complements and the Pink Pearls
