Today I would like to share with you my project which features the Sunshine Birdies—March 2016 Stamp of the Month available exclusively throughout March 2016 for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75. This is a sweet little stamp set and is perfect for colouring in with. Both adults and children will enjoy this set.

I had limited time to play with this Stamp of the Month so I did a very basic card. If you would like to colour in you can use Watercolor PaintsWatercolor Pencils or ShinHan™ Touch Twin™ Markers. I think it makes the most beautiful "Adult Colouring Book" style card, so I decided to keep it black and white.

I was playing with the branches, and butterflies with 12" X 12" White Daisy Cardstock and Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad. I put two of the butterflies on the 2" X 2" My Acrylix® Block and then randomly moved them around and rotated the block.

Then I cut down the butterfly section and mounted it on 12" X 12" Black Cardstock

For the title I used the cute little title "It's your special day." from the stamp set that is 'Tu Tu Cute' from the Safari Ballet Stamp Set. During March Stampanza you can get any stamp sets in the special of Buy Two, get one free. (See future blog hops on 20th March for inspiration).

I put the "It's your special day" stamp set with White Daisy Cardstock and Black Exclusive Inks™ and then I mounted it on Black Cardstock and used my Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors
to cut and make a pennant banner.

On the inside I plan to write or stamp the words "So... Celebrate Your Way!". The Card will read "IT'S YOUR SPECIAL DAY" (front) "SO... CELEBRATE YOUR WAY!!" (inside). Also inside I will stick 3 or 4 small pencils for the adults (or children) to colour it in. (Picture below taken from Google Images).

Remember this great stamp set  Sunshine Birdies—March 2016 Stamp of the Month is only available throughout March from my website or from your Close to My Heart Consultant

July 2015 SOTM Blog Hop Life is Wonderful

Hello and welcome to our Stamp of the Month Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop. We have all been creating with "July 2015 SOTM Life is Wonderful" Stamp set. If you have arrived here from  Shaunna Richards, Passionate About Pages then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas and eventually you'll come right back to where you started.

Today I would like to share with you my double page spread which features the Life is Wonderful – July 2015 Stamp of the Month available exclusively throughout June for $27 or you can get this stamp set for FREE when you spend AUS $32.50 on full priced stamp sets from the current catalogue. Such great value and its a really uplifting stamp set.

This week my kids were on the front page of the local newspaper and again on page 8 of the paper with the follow up story. So I wanted to do something with the cuttings from the newspaper.  I got the My Crush™ Wildwood Assortment as my embellishments on the page. The Assortments have some small journalling boxes, some stickers and some small alphabet stickers, There are also envelopes and little tags to fit inside the envelopes but I didn't use these on my pages. This set will be retiring when the current catalogue ends so be quick to grab this nifty little bargain alongside your Life is wonderful stamp set.

My Crush Wildwood Assortment
The first thing I did to make my double-page spread was pull out 2 pieces of 12" X 12" White Daisy Cardstock  and with Chocolate Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad I stamped the corner flourishes, in opposite corners (there is a left hand and a right hand flourish). After the corner flourishes I stamped the arrow five times up each side. I really like the arrow because it has the rough pencil line to make it look rustic. The whole stamp set has an old world charm.

Still using the Chocolate Exclusive Inks™ Stamp PadI stamped the "always remember something wonderful is about to happen" stamps onto one of the Journalling boxes (red with the arrow on top) from the My Crush™ Wildwood Assortment

When adhering my newspaper clippings, I had the portrait photo page be upright and the landscape paper cutting to be landscape (page on the side). Next I stamped the frame in Cranberry Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad around the title I created from the alphabet stickers from the My Crush™ Wildwood Assortment

The "On this Date" card was a journalling box that I cut in half and circled in red pen the date and added the numbers for the year. I added some stickers and embellishments from the Wildwood assortment on a few spaces over the two pages but purposefully left it quite plain.

Remember this great stamp set Life is Wonderful – July 2015 Stamp of the Month is only available throughout July from your Close to My Heart Consultant and you can get this stamp for FREE in July only with a purchase of $32.50 AUS of current regular priced stamp sets.

Thanks so much for dropping by to check out my latest double page spread, I hope you get to make a page this month too and get yourself a stamp set for FREE. I'm really interested to hear what you think about my double-page, so I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop on our Australasian Blog Hop which is  Georgia's Blog - Georgia Creates.

Just Sayin’ – May 2015 Stamp of the Month Australiasian Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to our Stamp of the Month Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop. We have all been creating with "Just Sayin' – May 2015 Stamp of the Month" Stamp set. If you have arrived here from  Jenny Gilbert The Creative Heart  then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas and eventually you'll come right back to where you started.

Today I would like to share with you my Page which features the Just Sayin' – May 2015 Stamp of the Month available exclusively throughout May for $27 or for just $5 when you spend $75. This is an awesome Stamp set for enhancing your scrapbook pages.

Close to my Heart are so good to release the Just Sayin' set especially for National Scrapbooking Month, its perfect! When I looked at this set I knew I had to make a page for this special month. I decided to use the special National Scrapbooking Month paper pack Taste of Summer Paper Packet which is available this month only. See your consultant or my website for more information about the Taste of Summer Paper Packet and the Taste of Summer Stamp Set which are limited edition for May only (like a bonus Stamp of the Month).

So the first thing I did when I decided to make a page was to look for inspiration from our Ideas book Reflections™ Scrapbook Program (soft cover). I found a page I really liked called Front and Centre Trio on page 70.

From Reflections Scrapbook Program pg 70.

Firstly I set out all the matching papers and inks. I picked my favourite two papers. The pink and purple. The geometric shapes on the paper really suit this Just Sayin' – May 2015 Stamp of the Month.

I started out thinking I would make some random stamping paper using the Just Sayin' – May 2015 Stamp of the Month in place of the bubbles in the example page. I had seen another consultant in our team using this stamp set in a similar way, so I set to work stamping on my
12" X 12" White Daisy Cardstock. I arranged the three geometric shapes onto my 3" X 3" My Acrylix® Block and stamped them in a random way by rotating each time I stamped.

After completing my random stamped paper with Hollyhock Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad I decided it was too busy and too dark. If I had more time I would have done second generation stamping or used a lighter coloured ink like Cotton Candy or Pixie for my random stamping so it was more a lighter background but I had finished the page I didn't want to waste it.

I cut the purple piece at 6 inches x 12 inches and laid it over my white background paper. I then cut three 5 inches x 3.5 inches in the pink from the Taste of Summer Paper Packet.

I wasn't 100% happy with this so after going away for 24 hours I came back to the page and decided if I used the random stamping paper for the title then it wouldn't be as busy, so I took a section of the stamping and made my title with it. Using Handwritten Print Acrylic stamps. I did "DREAM" first and then added "WORLD" afterwards because the R and the D were in both words. To get my title straight I lined up the Handwritten Print letters using the front of my Versamat™ .

When I framed the title on the completed page, I used the Zip Strip - which is the half inch off the top of the 12x12 purple paper from the Taste of Summer Paper Packet.
Note: All these papers have zip strips and all our Background and Texture (or B&T) paper has a Zip Strip.

I stamped all the titles using Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad and then fussy cut them out with my Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors.

I grabbed three photos from my stash of 3x4 photos from our holiday to the Gold Coast last year that I had printed with Studio J. They fitted perfectly with a break at the bottom for the Date stamp. We went to Dreamworld on 3 seperate days while we were on the Gold Coast so I wanted this page to represent that. I haven't written the exact dates in yet because I have to check my camera settings to work out which date which photos were taken. I picked a title bar/arrow that seemed most appropriate for each photo and stuck it above using 3L® E-Z Dots® Adhesive.

A Happy Hello - February Stamp of the Month Australiasian Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to our Stamp of the Month Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop. We have all been creating with "A Happy Hello" Stamp set. If you have arrived here from Georgia O'Shea - Georgia Creates then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas and eventually you'll come right back to where you started.

Today I would like to share with you my card which features the A Happy Hello – February 2015 Stamp of the Month available exclusively throughout February for $27 or for just $5 when you spend $75.

This is such a pretty stamp set that has so many beautiful applications. I can't wait to see what all the blog hop girls have made. I made my card for a consultant swap day a few weeks back, I made 12 of these cards and they are simple to do in bulk.
I used 12" X 12" Kraft Cardstock as the background and to stamp the flower using Cranberry Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad. I fussy cut out the flower with my Non-Stick Micro-Tip Scissors.
I cut half inch of White Daisy Cardstock for the penants and stamped the wonderful title from the You're the Bomb Operation Smile Fundraiser stamp (which is only available until 31st March 2015) using the Sorbet Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad

The circle "You're" from the You're the Bomb Stamp set fitted perfectly inside the flower so I stamped it with the Sorbet Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad and then the trick is to cut it out with the 1" Circle Punch after stamping. Its easier to line it up to punch after stamping, instead of trying to stamp on a small circle.
I stamped the stem/leaves with Flaxen Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad
I hung the stamp over my 2" X 3 1/2" My Acrylix® Block to just use some of the stem.
Note: when I stamped with the flaxen it was darker but as it dried it went lighter on the Kraft Cardstock. If I was to make this card again I would stamp the stem a second time, darkening the stem.

When I placed the cranberry flower on the craft cardstock it didn't stand out enough so I put a white square underneath. To finish it off I added a puffie from the Chalk It Up Assortment.
Remember the pretty stamp set  A Happy Hello – February 2015 Stamp of the Month is only available throughout February from your Close to My Heart Consultant
