Colour Dare #543 Black and White plus One Colour

 

Our Colour Dare Challenge for #543 is Lucky 7 Choose at Least 3 (All neutral and metallics free to use). When you are creating for more than one challenge please make sure your project meets our requirement. I've been creating with Cosette Scrapbooking Workshop Kit so when this challenge came up I thought oooh I love the Mulberry coloured paper. 

I cut the mulberry lined paper into 4x 5.25 inch square and inked the edges with Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad. 

I cut an oval with the Cosette—Cardmaking Stamp + Thin Cuts

and used a Round Sponge cut into wedges to ink the edge of the oval with Mulberry Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad. Then I stamped on the oval with the flower stamp and thankful title in Black Ink.

I used an offcut of Mulberry Cardstock cut to 4.25 inches wide sitting across the card. I wanted to line the edge of the mulberry cardstock but the Black Shimmer Trim from my stash I had was too wide, so I decided to split in half. You cut it to the right length and stick it onto the base of the Aluminum Cut Rail Paper Trimmer across both sides and then slice it in half. 

I was able to finish with an uneven number of the Black & White Dots

Colour Dare Challenge #330 TicTacToe Color Palette using CTMH "I Heart Us"

This week's challenge Colour Dare #330 TicTacToe Color Palette using CTMH "I Heart Us" Select Row, Column or Diagonal - Add Additional Colors if Wanted. All Neutrals are Free to Use.

Today is my birthday so I wanted to make a birthday card - My card box is running low on Birthday cards as they're the ones I use most of all. The simple easy to replicate card I made (shown below) uses ALL the colours on the tic tac toe board with my favourite paper from the Workshops Your Way® I Heart Us Scrapbooking Kit - the Rainbow stripes and the zip strip with all the colours in an arrow shape. Then I cut a retired Thin Cut Happy Birthday in Black Cardstock and finished it off with some black gems from Black & White Dots pack. 

I used Tombow® Permanent Adhesive for the paper and Bonding Memories™ Dual Action Glue Pen for the Happy Birthday thin cut.

 The above card is made with 2 picture my life cards, and the reindeer button. 

The above card was made with the picture my life card 4x6  and I cut off the stitching ends to make it fit the 5.5 sized card - (see below x stitching from the PML card). Then I added the red shimmer trim and added the small half inch  section back to fit the space. I put Red Shimmer trim behind the 25 and then put the whole star in 3D foam tape. 

I really enjoyed this zip strip card. I used the x stitching from the PML card and stamped the Merry Christmas in the white spaces with red enamel gems. 

 More PML cards and I covered the title with the white Merry Christmas 3D foam tape. 

Another zip strip and some off cuts plus an M sized old style Christmas stamp and old red enamel hearts. 

The last thing I made was this page that I was so happy with. I used the off cuts and zip strips and black cardstock and Black Shimmer Trim and PML cards and some complements and some black and white stripes diagonal paper from the Cats & bats that went really well with it too. I really loved how this page turned out. Black and white doesn't have to be a christmassy page.

Sunshine Birdies March SOTM Australasian Blog Hop

Today I would like to share with you my project which features the Sunshine Birdies—March 2016 Stamp of the Month available exclusively throughout March 2016 for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75. This is a sweet little stamp set and is perfect for colouring in with. Both adults and children will enjoy this set. 

I had limited time to play with this Stamp of the Month so I did a very basic card. If you would like to colour in you can use Watercolor Paints, Watercolor Pencils or ShinHan™ Touch Twin™ Markers. I think it makes the most beautiful "Adult Colouring Book" style card, so I decided to keep it black and white. 

I was playing with the branches, and butterflies with 12" X 12" White Daisy Cardstock and Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad. I put two of the butterflies on the 2" X 2" My Acrylix® Block and then randomly moved them around and rotated the block. 

Then I cut down the butterfly section and mounted it on 12" X 12" Black Cardstock

and then on the 5 1/2" X 4 1/4" White Cards & Envelopes.

For the title I used the cute little title "It's your special day." from the stamp set that is 'Tu Tu Cute' from the Safari Ballet Stamp Set. During March Stampanza you can get any stamp sets in the special of Buy Two, get one free. (See future blog hops on 20th March for inspiration). 

I put the "It's your special day" stamp set with White Daisy Cardstock and Black Exclusive Inks™ and then I mounted it on Black Cardstock and used my Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors

to cut and make a pennant banner. 

On the inside I plan to write or stamp the words "So... Celebrate Your Way!". The Card will read "IT'S YOUR SPECIAL DAY" (front) "SO... CELEBRATE YOUR WAY!!" (inside). Also inside I will stick 3 or 4 small pencils for the adults (or children) to colour it in. (Picture below taken from Google Images).
