So to start with I went looking for my coloured cardstock for colour dare. Desert Rose CardstockPeach Cardstock and Sage CardstockThen I looked for a cute and cuddly image in my stamp sets for the Double Trouble challenge and I found my Meowgical Stamp + Thin Cuts with the cutest little kitty unicorns.

This reminded me of rainbows so I pulled out my Build-a-Rainbow Thin Cuts which are still available to purchase. I decided to use the Sleeping on a cloud kitty, but I die-cut and stamped a number of different kitty-unicorns in case I changed my mind. Next time I create with this set I've got a bunch pre-cut and in the envelope with the stamp set and thin cut. I cut the kitty-cloud and the regular cloud from White Daisy Cardstock and stamped with Memento ink for colouring (I would suggest using archival or intense black if you don't have memento ink)

While I was die-cutting I also cut the rainbow from Build-a-Rainbow Thin Cuts in both Desert Rose Cardstock and Peach Cardstock. Because there are 4 layers of the rainbow, I used front and back of these for the light and dark and luckily desert rose and peach both have similar tones so my rainbow was sort of monochromatic.

I was going to do darkest to lightest but my die-cut moved and squished the middle of the peach colours as I cut all four at once. Note: use washi tape. Previously i've used washi tape to hold all 4 layers together and it never moved but this time I didn't and it messed up... so I was oh well... we're going light to dark then.

To colour the kitty-unicorn I used the Pale Pink TriBlend™ Marker for the tale as I thought closest to peach and desert rose and then Dull Green TriBlend™ Marker for the horn to match sage and then Ice Grey TriBlend™ Marker as neutrals were free to use, so my kitty-corn was grey. I also used some white gel pens to put a bit into the tail to create a shine look. I'm not sure how successful it was but hey I liked it. :)

On the Build-a-Rainbow cloud thin cut there is no outline on the cloud so to match the outline as per the kitty-corn on the cloud I used a black journaling pen (I think it was the 0.3mm size... all our pens are currently out of stock since our boxing day sale so I can't check online to see what they're called).

I didn't love my pen work but it looked better than being plain white. Finished is better than perfect!!

To get the background and to introduce the sage cardstock. I cut a 5.25x4 inch sage piece and put onto the White Cards & Envelopes. Then I used an offcut scrap at 5.25 wide but not full 4 inches tall and ripped it in half. I used both halves of the torn but flipped the middle section to get the colour variations. I love double sided cardstock for this purpose. Look how much variation of colour I got in this card! I also got layers which was part of the double trouble challenge.

This photo taken prior to adhering the clouds. I just put them there for placement.

I then stamped the sentiment with Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad across the bottom of the "sky" from the same meowgical stamp set.

I decided I needed more layers so I adhered the clouds with 3-D Foam Tape to create dimension and layers. To finish off I used Bitty Sparkles and Clear Sparkles.

We are all creating with the Workshops Your Way® Little Dreamer Scrapbooking KitThis kit is featured by Close to My Heart in May and is available until the end of the new Seasonal Expressions Ideas Book.
Kit contents:

1 – Little Dreamer Paper Packet (X7219B)
1 – Little Dreamer Complements (X7219C)
4 – cardstock sheets (1 Thistle, 3 White Daisy)
1 – Little Dreamer Glitter Gems (Z3321)
1 – White & Gold Ribbon (Z3189)
Use the materials in this kit and the online instructions found on all consultants websites (click here find the instructions if you don't have a consultant) to create three coordinating scrapbook layouts.
I made the pages first using the cutting guide and then the cards as the instructions. As I usually do, I use a variation of the cards just by turning over the double-sided papers.
I played with the Little Dreamer Cardmaking Stamp + Thin Cuts (as pictured below) and we cut out lots of unicorns and bits. Its a really fun stamp set that each piece is seperate so you can mix and match the colours to make your unicorn look more magical.
It was really fun using the colours as listed in the instructions Black (Black Memento™ Ink Pad), Whisper Exclusive Inks™ Stamp PadThistle Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad, and Lagoon Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad.

I had lots of fun stamping these in variations of the three colours - Thistle, Lagoon & Whisper. I used lots of 3-D Foam Tape.

Then after making the 6 pages (3 double-page spreads) and 6 cards I made a quick card below, using one of the 3x4 inch cards a little bit of Silver Shimmer Trim.
I had used up all the banners and put away the Big Shot so I fussy cut out the banner. Super quick and easy card to share for someone's birthday.

Remember Workshops Your Way® Little Dreamer Scrapbooking Kit is only available for a limited time. Go to my website www.vandra.closetomyheart.com.au or your consultants website and order today.

This kit is also perfect for kids to use. My daughter made the below card.

I posted this on my business Facebook page "Vandra Stenton Close to My Heart Consultant" last week with this photo = I've spent 3 days in hospital with my little girl this week who's been very sick with a viral infection and has had all week off school. We came home last night and today she wanted to craft and couldn't wait to get her hands on my new unicorn ðŸ¦„ thin cut bundle... she's in her creative element and loves them. She did all this without any guidance from Me. Little dreamer is the perfect name for this! #ctmhLittleDreamer perfect stamp set for young ladies and Little Princesses ðŸ‘¸ (okay and big princesses too!). Young princes would like these too I'm sure!

Magical Australasian Blog Hop

Welcome to our Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop featuring this months featured pack called Workshops Your Way™ Magical Scrapbooking Kit.

If you have arrived here from Megan Lawrence at Crop Craft Create then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas and eventually you'll come right back here to where you started.

We are all creating with the Workshops Your Way™ Magical Scrapbooking Kit.
This kit is featured by Close to My Heart in July and is until the end of the current Seasonal Expressions Ideas Book (so will be retiring at the end of August 2016). NOT LONG!!

There are pages, cards and Picture My Life layouts featured in this pack. I made the pages as directed and cut the cards and then I mixed them up a bit by changing around the backs and fronts of some of the papers to create different and unique cards. Below shows what you can do by varying how you piece the papers onto the cards.

I really love this stamp set called Fairytale Birthday - I can see myself using it lots and lots.

The next thing I did with the pages was complete them and then continue with photos I had in the series, to make this page below.

I had lots of photos of a ball fun pit air-cannon area at Dream World on the Gold Coast so made a page using them.

I dotty paper on the bottom of the page is the 4x6 picture my life cards from the pack that I cut in half longways so they are 6 x 2 inches. Then I used the Zip Strips and one of the Picture my life card thats "love this" with a strip cut off the bottom and stuck on the other page.

To cover the joins on the pages I used Honey Cardstock and Stamped black ink on White Daisy Cardstock using the Amusement Park stamp set, I adhered them with 3-D Foam Tape. I stamped the tickets as journalling boxes and will write in them later.

I was really happy with the dots for the plastic ball cannon area because it suited them so perfectly. I finished it off with a few of the Magical Complements
for a little bit of dimension.

This month is also the LAST MONTH OF the Annual Expressions Catalogue. Go to mwebsite or your consultants website to see all the exciting products available BEFORE THEY'RE GONE FOREVER!! (yes I'm being dramatic - I don't want anyone to miss out!!!).

Thanks so much for dropping by to check out my latest project, I hope you get inspired. I'm really interested to hear what you think about it, so I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop on our Australasian Blog Hop which is Lauren Moore - CTMH Craftings.

From the Notebook July SOTM Australasian Blog Hop

Welcome to our Australasian Blog Hop. We have all been creating with "From the Notebook—July Stamp of the MonthStamp set. If you have arrived here from Doris Taylor Creative Inspirations then you are in the right place. If you landed here another way, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. Follow the links, check out all the amazing ideas and eventually you'll come right back here to where you started.

Today I would like to share with you my project which features the From the Notebook—July Stamp of the Month available exclusively throughout July 2016 for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75. This stamp set is perfect for diary journalling, Calendars and other fun stuff like that. One of the Close to My Heart designed pages looked amazing (see below).

I wanted to show this stamp set used in a different way on a card. There are so many stamps in this set but a few caught my eye.

I started with the Hello Stamp and stamped it onto White Daisy Cardstock
with Black Memento™ Ink PadI stamped a couple to see what I could do with the extras. These would make great name tags for birthday parties or workshop type events.

The next thing I did was grabbed scraps of Workshops Your Way™ Magical Scrapbooking Kit and fitted them to my 5 1/2" × 4 1/4" White Cards & Envelopes, Value Pack white card.

I then stamped the "Read this" and small arrow on the yellow of the Magical paper with Black Memento™ Ink Pad. I cut a 1 inch circle out of White Daisy Cardstock using 1" Circle Punch and stamped the "Super" circle onto it with  Cranberry Exclusive Inks™ Stamp PadI also stamped the "You are Fabulous" with Cranberry Ink with Tickled Pink stamp set.

I didn't have any Black Shimmer Trim my favourite trim ever (It's all run out!!). So I grabbed some of my black shimmer paper from the Black & Grey Glitter Paper pack and used that instead. Note to self: buy more Black Shimmer TRIM!!!

I added the "Hello you are Fabulous" and "Super" stamps with 3-D Foam Tape

Remember this great stamp set  From the Notebook—July Stamp of the Month is only available throughout June from my website or from your Close to My Heart Consultant

Thanks so much for dropping by to check out my latest project, I hope you get inspired. I'm really interested to hear what you think about it, so I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop on our Australasian Blog Hop which is Lauren Moore- CTMH Craftings.
