Colour Dare #470 TicTacToe Candid Moments

Our Colour Dare Challenge for #470 is Tic Tac Toe using the Candid Moments Scrapbooking Workshop Kit, you are free to use Black & White. When you are creating for more than one challenge please make sure your project meets our requirement. I needed to make a 21st Birthday card for a friend and so I pulled out Peach Cardstock and my beautiful new Kaleidoscope Embossing Folder. I put it through and it wasn't showing up enough (too subtle) so I pulled out the Sapphire Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad and Round Sponge and sponged the sapphire ink onto the top of the peach cardstock to have the pattern show out.

Then I put a section of Peach cardstock across the centre and a small strip of Sapphire Cardstock. I used Gold Glitter Paper and Classic Alphabet Thin Cuts to cut the 21 on my Big Shot machine. The sticker to finish off is "Special Day" shown below from Candid Moments Paper Packet + Sticker Sheet.

I LOVE this new embossing folder.

Colour Dare #380 Tic-Tac-Toe

Our Colour Dare Challenge for #380 Tic-Tac-Toe which coordinates lovely with our new CTMH Celebrate Today Scrapbooking Workshop Kit. You are invited to participate in this challenge too. Go to the link for Colour Dare #380 and add your entry.

I used all the colours of the Celebrate today papers because I used that gorgeous zip strip with the coloured hearts. The main colour I used was Lagoon, with Mint bubbles paper and the heart sticker that is lagoon, mint and lemon.

The Lagoon Cardstock was embossed with a preview of the Under the Sea Embossing Folder that isn't available to order until the 1st of March. wa

The Hey You heart sticker is from the Celebrate Today Paper Packet + Sticker Sheet to finish it off, I sponged with black ink around the edge to give it a bit of definition sitting on the lagoon cardstock. The You Are Loved stickers are also from this set. To finish off I put a few Clear Sparkles.

This card could be used as a friendship card, a pick-me up card, sympathy card, thinking of you card, valentines day card, or to remind your children that you are proud of them and that they are loved. So many ideas for this one card.

To photograph my card I put it on the gorgeous watercolour paper from the paper pack (shown above). So pretty. I can't wait to use this paper on a Scrapbooking page (its 12x12 size but  phooto is cropped a little). I need some whiter lighting for my photos cause they always look a little creamy white.

Use the materials in this kit to create three coordinating scrapbook layouts. 

I made a quick card using scraps from my favourite bricks paper from the Documented set. With the lovely floral paper. Then I used the stickers from the complements to add the hello typewriter and the bunch of flowers. Quick Simple, Effective and a lovely card to give a friend for a hello. I took the photo in the light so it looks a bit washed out, the dark grey charcoal colour is more prominent in real life. 

The other card I've been working on is one I've done as part of my 3rd video with Caroline in our "Cardmaking with Caroline & Vandra" YouTube series on Sponge Techniques. Last Chance CTMH Annual Inspirations Australasian Blog Hop

Welcome to our Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop, we are all sharing our favourite things from the Annual Expressions Catalogue that is just about to finish up at the end of this month!! Some of my favourite things that are retiring and that I love are the embossing folders and some of the shimmer trim (pink, blue, teal, bronze and purple). There are new and exciting embossing folders coming in the new catalogue but you need to get all the others before they're gone. There is a section on our websites that show Going Soon Products which is a great place to check out. The new catalogue has lots of new ribbons coming but no new shimmer trim, so hopefully we will get some next year, in the meantime I have been teaching my customers to paint their shimmer trim with watercolour paint. 

The below gift card I made with one of the retiring embossing folders called - Quatrefoil Embossing Folder and my favourite retiring colour "Cotton Candy". A lot of the colours in the Adventure range are changing so many of those colours are retiring to make way for new vibrant colours. 

The card is just a 4x4 square of 12" × 12" White Daisy Cardstock and then a pop up was cut, the 2x4 bit of 12" × 12" Cotton Candy Cardstock was embossed and then stuck on the front. I stuck the flowers on the top of the embossed card with 3-D Foam Tape. I painted with Watercolor Paints and Waterbrush—Small Round and Waterbrush—Medium Round. 

The next card I made to show the beauty of the Circle Diffuser and the Scallop Embossing Folder. I demonstrated this at our recent retreat and everyone was rather impressed. I finished it off with some White & Gold Ribbon, a sentiment from Fairytale Birthday and some 12" × 12" Pacifica Cardstock. I used Memory Book Mini Glue Dots™ to adhere the ribbon to the white daisy cardstock. 

At the retreat I also showed everyone some ideas using thin cuts (as per the first card) and the below little card was a favourite with Ornate Blossoms & Ornate Blossoms Thin Cuts coloured with ShinHan Markers (Thin Cuts aren't retiring for 1 more month). I finished my card off with retiring Shimmer trim x2. Every card or project needs BLING and Shimmer trim is the perfect accompaniment to any project!! The blue has unfortunately already retired but the Teal Shimmer Trim is still available until the end of this month. After telling everyone at the retreat that my favourite SHIMMER TRIM IS RETIRING (Nooooooooo!!!)... I did show them how to paint white shimmer trim with watercolour paints to get matching colours, but its more fiddly than just grabbing it and sticking it on!
